Chapter 6
Voices. Faint, whispering voices greeted the newly conscious Stephanie. She opened her eyes to take in her surroundings. She noticed that she and the other four girls were chained to a large rock. They were right next to a volcano.
The other girls began to wake up. First Mia, then Misty. Last were Amy and Amanda.
"What is going on?" asked Amy.
"I don't know," replied Misty, "But I think we have some serious problems on our hands."
The other girls fell silent as one of their captors came by.
Archangel sneered. "So the little girls decided to wake up, did they? I hope you enjoyed your nap, because it will be the last pleasant thing you ever experience!"
"Why are you doing this?!" shouted Stephanie. "Do you think you're just going to get the hell away with this?"
"I do plan on getting away with this. You see, your boyfriends, the Ronin Warriors, are on their way here right now to exchange the Armor of Inferno for your lives. Once we have that armor, we won't need any of you anymore, so we'll just have to do something about you, won't we." She left that remark hanging with a sinister smirk on her face. "Without the Inferno Armor, you guy friends will be distroyed along with you. And, as for why we are doing this, I'll tell you a few things.
One hundred thousand years ago, there were five powerful kingdoms in this solar system. The Mercury Kingdom, the Venus Kingdom, the Earth Kingdom, the Jupiter Kingdom, and the most powerful kingdom, the Kingdom of Avalon. These kingdoms were each ruled by one queen. The leader of these queens was always the Queen of Avalon. Each queen held another title that was passed down along with the thrones. The title of the Guardians. Each kingdom represented and element whose power was given to the Guardian of that planet. Each generation of Guardians was stronger than the last. And so, 100,000 years ago, it came to pass that Queen Serenity rose to the throne of Avalon and a new generation of Guardians began. We Nega Avians attacked, thinking that since Queen Serenity did not yet have a mate nor heir, and since she was so inexperienced, we could overthrow her and the other four Guardians and steal their power.
It didn't happen the way we planned. The battle was fierce and before we were banished back to our dimension, we managed to blow up the planet Avalon. That is why there is an asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Those rocks are the remains of Avalon. That is also why there is no longer any life on the other planets. The shockwave from Avalon's explosion wiped out all of the life. Earth was spared a lot of the force because its moon took a lot of the impact. It still caused widespread extinctions. Anyway, we later found out that Queen Serenity managed to save 100 of each of the five races that inhabited the five planets, including herself and the other four of her generation's Guardians.
We discovered that they were all reborn on Earth a few decades ago. The Guardians from the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Jupiter each found a mate of their own respective races, Mercurian, Venusian, Terran, and Juvian. Queen Serenity, however, found a mate that wasn't even close to her own species. She met a man by the name of Goku Son that was mourning the death of his wife. The two fell in love and were married. Serenity later gave birth to twin half-breeds. The older, a boy. The younger, a girl. Avian blood from their mother. Saiyan from their father's own alien origins.
Your probably wondering how this applies to you. Well let me tell you. You five are the offspring of Serenity's generation of Guardians. You five are the rightful rulers of this solar system. You," she said pointing to Amanda,"Are the princess of Mercury, a Mercurian, and the Guardian of Water." Next she turned to Stephanie."You are the princess of Venus, a Venusian, and the Guardian of Wind." Stephanie's bright green eyes widened in shock. Archangel simply turned to Amy."You are the Earth Princess, a Terran, and the Guardian of Earth." Next came Mia."You are Jupiter's princess, a Juvian, and the Guardian of Thunder." Last, she turned to Misty."You are the one I want to kill the most. You are Serenity's half-breed daughter. You are the princess of Avalon, a Saiyan-Avian hybrid, and the Guardian of Fire.
The reason we are striving so hard to irradicate your generation is because of a prophecy. It said that the Guardian generation born with a halfling leader would destroy the Nega Avians' reign of evil forever, with the help of the Armor of Inferno, which the smallest Guardian would wear. We are going to kill you while you are at your weakest and take the power of the Inferno for ourselves!"
The five girls absorbed what Archangel had told them. If it was all true, then that meant that THEY were the sleeping warriors that the prophecy poem spoke of. There had to be some way of getting out of this mess and defeating the Nega Avians before they had a chance to get hold of the Armor of Inferno or kill the Ronin Warriors.
