Guardian Saga
Chapter 8
The next morning, once everyone had eaten breakfast and the guys were certain that the girls had rested enough, it was decided that the Guardians would demonstrate their transformations for the guys. Star Fire and White Blaze just laid next to one another eyeing the young warriors in complete boredom.
For some reason, the girls looked mildly depressed. That would have to be looked into.
Amanda went first. She pulled out her star shaped saphire pendent and held it over her head. She called out 'Aquia Water Power'. Streams of water surrounded her and breifly hid her from view. When they vanished, Amanda was fully dressed in a stunning uniform. The other Ronins had to pick Sai's jaw off of the ground.
The uniform was a navy blue body suit with a tight skirt attachment. The uniform had cerulean blue mid forearm length work gloves and knee high boots. The gloves, boots, and skirt were trimmed in teal. There was a teal belt around her waist and a teal image of a fox across her chest. The uniform was completed by the navy ble mask across her eyes.
"Hey, guess what?" Amanda, now Aquia, shouted excitedly.
"What?" asked the others.
"I'm a Mercurian again!"
The girls immediately understood what she was talking about and began to laugh and cheer. The guys, who were out of the loop could only question them.
"What do you mean, your a Mercurian again?"asked Rowen. "You all said that you were born as aliens."
"We didn't explain fully."replied Aquia. "Yes, we were born different species, but when we were all young, it was discovered that the Nega Avians would try to kill us before we were old enough to access our full power. So as soon as our individual training was completed, we were each transformed into humans and our memories locked so we wouldn't be discovered. We were then each sent to live as humans until we remembered who we were. We had feared that we would always stay human after this but I guess the Guardian transformation reverses the human effect and lets us become ourselves again."
"This means that we'll get our non-human physical characterisics back, won't it?"asked Mia.
"Yes."said Amanda.
The guys were actually eager to see what these characteristics were. The girls simply told them that they would have to wait until all of them were transformed before they would find out.
Stephanie transformed next. Taking out her ruby star pendant and shouting 'Sky Dancer Wind Power', a red gust of wind surrounded her and was gone in an instant, leaving her in her uniform. It was the same exact design as Aquia's, only colored differently. The body suit itself was bright red. The gloves and boots were red-orange and they, along with the skirt, were trimmed in royal purple. She had a red mask over her eyes. Across her chest was a red orange griffin image and an orange belt went around her waist.
Rowen nearly had a coronary seeing Stephanie, now Sky Dancer, in such a form fitting outfit.
Amy was next. She brought out her gold star pendant and called out 'Terra Earth Power'. It seemed like the ground turned black and came up to surround her in a stone cocoon. It shattered in a flash of gold sparkles. Amy, now Terra, was in a uniform designed the same as the first two with the exception of color. Her body suit was jet black. Her gold boots and gloves were trimmed in white, along with her skirt. She had a gold belt on and a gold dragon across her chest. A black mask across her eyes finished off the suit.
Kento was literally drooling over her, or maybe that box of doughnuts sitting on the porch rail. It's hard to tell with Kento.
Mia was up. She took her pink ice pendant and shouted out 'Thundera Thunder Power'. A bolt of pinkish lightning crashed down onto her. When it faded, Mia had become Thundera. Her uniform design was the same as the others. Her body suit was bubblegum pink. The gloves and boots were plain pink. Her boots, gloves, and skirt were trimmed in magenta. She had a plain pink belt and plain pink lion symbol across her chest. A pink mask like those of the others completed her.
Sage was enjoying himself emensely.
Misty was last. She held up her locket and called 'Phoenix Fire Crystal Power'. White ribbons and feathers encircled her. Quickly, they vanished, leaving her in her uniform. It was the same as the others, except for coloring and a few other things. Her body suit was pure white. Her gloves and boots were gleaming silver and trimmed in black. The skirt was also trimmed in black. A silver bird symbol identical to the one on her locket spread across her chest. The mask on her face was white. The differences to her uniform were the white furry belt around her waist and the white feather cape draped over her shoulders. She was now Phoenix.
Ryo was matching his armor.
"Yahoo! I got my wings and tail back!"the raven haired girl exclaimed. The furry 'belt' unwrapped itself from around her waist, revealing a silver belt underneath. The tail whipped back and forth behind her.
The guys looked on in amazement, wondering if the other girls were going to undergo changes that extreme.
Understanding what the Ronins were thinking, Aquia decided to speak up. "Don't worry. Phoenix is the least humanlike of us externally. The rest of us didn't change that dramatically."
While Aquia was saying all this, Phoenix was stretching out her wings and tail, which were revealed to have black tips. After a few trial flaps, the smallest of the Elemental Warriors was airborn. She took off, straight up.
"Both Avians and Saiyans are happiest when their free." mused Thundera.
