What is a Oregon Certified
Home Inspector?
An individual who performs home inspections
on two or more components must be Certified with the Oregon Construction
Contractors Board-CCB.
An individual must pass a comprehensive test
to become Certified and must complete education courses to renew his/her
certification. Each Certified Home Inspector must be an owner or an employee
of a business registered with the CCB.
If you would like to check if a Home Inspector
or Contractor is registered with the CCB, there is a free service that
is provided by the Construction Contractor Board. You can now check
via the internet. You will need the CCB # or the phone number of the
individual in question.
This service can also be used to see if there
is any claims against a Contractor or Home Inspector. The Construction
Contractor Board works on behalf of the consumer to educate and protect
you against any Contractor or Home Inspector that may not be following
the rules and laws of our State.
