Detailed Definition of a Home Inspection

The home inspection is a visual, non intrusive, systematic examination of a house. As the purchase of a home is probably the largest single investment you will make, it is in your best interest to find out from a professional Independent Home Inspector the condition of the property before you invest.

The purpose of the home inspection is to inform the client of the types of repairs and maintenance that may be necessary or can be anticipated. The inspection and subsequent report will provide you with a better understanding of the observed conditions. You should learn as much as you can about the condition of the property and the need for any major repairs before you buy, so that you can minimize unpleasant surprises and difficulties afterwards.

A home inspection will point out the positive points of the house as well as observed defects. It will also provide recommendations for routine maintenance which will ensure the longevity of your investment. A written report will be provided with a verbal explanation of the inspection results.
