Demon

Demon, what do you want?
my life no longer do you daunt.
Human, you think it is your right to flaunt
our agreement, is not for mortals
Demon, from its gates, to its portals
    all its evil creatures
    all its fiery features
    Burning fire, scares me not
Human, it’s much darker than you ever thought
think not, it’s what you always sought
for it’s there, where our two bodies do rot
Demon, your lies, they do drive me to insanity
take away my last remaining humanity
Human, perhaps you should wait till you return to sobriety
for at this time your mind is mired
with deathly images and sultry desires
Demon, I order you now! Take me to Hell’s pyres!
It’s heavenly master to whom I belong
Do it for me, or do me wrong
Descend us both to Hell’s fires
Human, I warned you of ghastly urges
of your contempt, your soul, my mind purges
Take not my advice, be sentenced for eternity!
If this is what you wish, you wish absurdity!
Demon, tell me not what I wish
for if I were simply a dish
served as an hors d’œuvre on your plate
No effort would you make to placate
my soul from its death-ended course!
Human, so foolish, so sharp-minded, yet you know I know no remorse
When finished I am with you,
you’ll beg for the clean, bright, and blue
skies of heaven you know you cannot reach
    You, I tried to teach
And you refused to listen to my preach
Let us face your fate together
Demon, to your offer, I respond ‘never’
    fulfill your end
I need only for the bargain
to be closed and this will be over
Human, you realize little how over it is
if only your mind were sober
perhaps then you could see that this
will not result in kind conquest
    of your goals—
Demon, thanks to you deeply for playing your roles
now, comes before you the time to rest
Be gone as I reach attainment!
Human, I shall return for your arraignment
provided one takes place. Remember you’re not the best!
Demon, we end now, I fully intend to never see you again
and as if we would, do not pretend
so to Purgatory’s reach, to there, me you will send
Human, one last opportunity, to back out of frivolousy
But it is known your mind is already made
So it is time to slowly wade
your way into the Dark Kingdom
Demon, at last you sustain what was promised to be done
Let us enter, at long last, the Land of Satan
the world to which I was faten.
