Eternal
Daniel J. Perz

The eternal bond that links us,
as if we were Siamese twins,
as if we were attached at the hip,
on our fatefulness depends,
The eternal thoughts that keep us,
within an arms reach away,
there’s never been a reason,
to beg to not go away
The eternal wish that binds us,
keeps us on the path,
the same so we are together,
one person, forever,
The eternal reaches of space,
we shall keep up the pace,
to keep ourselves together,
and never be alone
The eternal ravages of conflict,
imposed on us by others,
with it we have no connections,
so in the corner, we sit
The eternal quarry of love,
forever un-exploited,
while others take upon fools gold,
selling it at the outrageous price of
The eternal longing,
for our bond to be broken,
though we know we need one another,
still, confess, we’d like to experience,
The eternal separation,
never known to ourselves,
we take it upon us,
to do what is right
The eternal solitudation,
although we are one,
together we are alone,
alone we are together
