I Wish I Knew What To Do
Daniel Jeremy Perz

I wish I knew what he was thinking
I wish I knew his feelings
I wish I knew how he got through day after day
I wish I knew if he were honest
I wish I knew if he were telling the truth
I wish I knew if he were right
I wish I knew that we’d never fight
I wish I saw the light
I wish I saw inside his soul
I wish I saw beneath skin-deep
I wish I saw clearly his love
I wish I saw beyond what he wears
I wish I saw how much he cares
I wish I heard his deep, soothing voice
I wish I listened when he made the choice
I wish I listened to my conscience
I wish I heard that he got off the fence
I wish I felt his hand so tense
I wish I felt his body to mine
I wish I felt his passionate kiss
I wish I felt how much me he does miss
I wish I felt our souls in bliss
I wish I tasted his hungry lips
I wish I tasted love in my arms
I wish I smelt his seductive fragrance
I wish I smelt the little time we had left
I wish I sensed the end of our time as one
I wish I sensed why it had never begun
I wish I knew, so I’d know what to do
