“You Cheated Me.”
DANIEL JEREMY PERZ

You cheated me,
what more can I say?
I felt betrayed
I couldn’t turn away

If only I could see,
that you do not possess,
an ounce of decency or fidelity
you never let me rest

You cheated me, You say,
in the absolute worst way
My trust in you no longer exists
still, my life is the pits

I can’t believe you did this,
left me out in the cold
Alone, with nowhere to go
no one to turn to

But you see my face
Feel my pain
Then leave without a trace
Leave me insane

I see you
You’re in need
Hurt, like me
Show it? Never!

So thou turned away,
to face another day,
Without me, how
To care for thou?

You were a magnet
for my intentions,
My attention focused on you
We were to be inseparable

We are, and you came between us
and left us in this fuss
I forgive you
like that’s new?

We are always one,
we are always many
The truth is I need you
It never did matter

That you cheated me
That I have no more to say
Though I feel betrayed
I can’t turn away
