Rare Blooms

It was never my intention to host other people's stories on this site but I thought it might be nice

to share with you some of the fiction that I have come across and has either moved me beyond words or

which exhibits an outstanding talent in the use of language and imagery.

In short, these are my favorites of favorites…

Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

'…Without the pain of the thorn bush there would not be the beauty of the rose…'

The first story I have chosen is 'Wonder of Life.' By Sara H.

This story appealed to me because of it's breath-taking imagery, the whole garden and Mother Earth analogy.

Her work on this one reminded me of the author Neil Gaimen with the almost ethereal setting she creates.

I like how no names are mentioned, none are needed and how she just describes everything so beautifully.

Instead of telling us that Darren has pale skin she says…

'… she saw the pale touch of her daughter the Moon adorning his skin.. also he was blessed…'

I adore Moon and Earth imagery like this anyway and the whole story is just full of such beautiful phrasing.

But don't just take my word for it…go read it for yourself.
