The First Time

Stina has submitted this article about writing stories that involve ‘the first time’.
Usually, though not always, the central characters in her stories begin the fic as straight men then, as the story, develops realise that what they are feeling for each other is much deeper than just friendship. Accordingly she has written commenting on some of the pitfalls that we often all fall into when writing scenarios like this and some ways to avoid them.
So over to Stina…
Oh and for anyone who has yet to read any of her work, I would highly recommend doing do – especially her first time stories such as ‘This is not Star Wars’, ‘Red Wine’ and of course ‘Prends moi…’ ;)
Like she says , the idea is to make it seem natural and she certainly does that *g*
Luna asked me to write a little something about „First time" stories, and of course I am glad to contribute.
I LOVE "First time" stories. I love to read them, love to write them. They are always a challenge to write something so comprehensible that the reader thinks, yes, it is quite natural that now they end up in bed/ on the floor/ on the beach… *ggg *- and that then happens what has to happen!
What I write now here is very subjective. It does not have to be necessarily right, it is only my opinion- so feel free to ignore it… :- ) And when you see a quote here from some story- I honestly often can´t remember who wrote what, so I mean everything in general, not some specific author…
Maybe I should add this is from the POV of a hopeless romantic, so of course I prefer and love all the candlelight stuff, all the "Are you sure?" "Tell me what you like…" "Stop me if you don´t like it…" and so on- well, to be
honest, all the consideration and sensitivity we often wish men would show in real life, too! * lol *I´m sure if a guy would read my stories he would sigh, yawn and say "Let them get to the point and DO IT…"
So here they are, our two heroes, ready and willing to do the final step, to cross the last barrier… * g*
It may be well planned, it may be spontaneous…
My humble advice to authors would be: Be creative. Be inventive. I see so many stories where I know in advance what happens now. I can see the author before my inner eye, shrugging her shoulders, saying "I don´t know exactly what two men can do in bed, so I just write what the others wrote". Which results in (and please, no offence, this list is meant to be a bit ironic and funny… * ggg*):
- Tearing down pants, going down on knees, giving a perfect blow job, even without any experience.
- The magic words "I want to come inside of you"/ "I want to come with you inside of me" are spoken.
- A tube of lube appears miraculously from somewhere, legs are lifted on shoulders, lube is applied- now it happens!!
- The bottom one screams and cries and weeps in tears as if this is not sex but an appendix operation without anaesthetic.
- The guy on top groans: "F***, you´re tight!" (always reminds me of porn movie vocabulary...)
- Pain turns to pleasure, they both come simultaneously, the guy on top moaning: "F***, shit, I´m coming… Ahhh… F***!"
I don´t want to say these stories are bad, honestly!!!! Some of them are incredibly good and sexy!!!
But- again- be inventive!
Why not let them use suntan lotion, massage oil, body lotion, whatever everyone has in the house… (Not everyone carries around lube all the time…)
Why not chose a more comfortable position- if I were a guy I really don´t know if I would enjoy f.e. having Daniel´s long –and therefore surely heavy- legs on my shoulders while I try to do something I never did before…* lol *
Why not let them say words YOU would chose to say, YOU would like to hear in this incredible intimate situation…
Why not let them do it so slowly and carefully that you can spare them the
pain… * s *
Ah, just try it out! Writing "First time" stories can become an addiction… * lol* - I love them… But I think I already wrote this, so I´d better stop here!
