More of My Love Poetry
i would sooner tire of life
than the moment we first kissed
i knew it was you my wandering spirit had sought
to bring about the union of two souls
lost in the wilderness of despair
we have since made a journey meant
for us alone to take and yet
we have so far to go
i could wish for no other companion
to walk with me as we live through
what is and what shall be i am contented
to look into the beauty that goes deep
in your eyes and speaks of a woman so
resplendent with passion and love
i could never imagine another for me
i would sooner tire of life
than tire of your love for me

for a moment of you
i would give my soul
to know that i had experienced life
the way you do
i have never known a woman
so enchanting as you have changed
the way i look at life and the world
i never would have made it to where
i am without the look in your eye
and the dream in your soul filling me
and helping me see my own dreams
realized as we walk hand in hand
into the sunset of living and loving
together for all time
i would give anything for a moment of you
with me i can see what it was that made me
draw my first breath in this world
it was for a moment of you

i dream of a life without you
in a nightmare of loneliness
i do not want to believe
the dark slumber can keep me from
seeing the light of your beauty
wrapped around me like a blanket
of courage keeping evil at bay as
i slumber far away from our body
i cannot escape the visions of a world bereft
of your touch enveloping me with damp warmth
so like a beach tide i cannot imagine a world without you
in me in you i know when i wake
i will feel your cool warm skin pressing against mine
and be reassured that all is right with the world
and the universe is unfolding as it should

i hunger for the time when we can be ourselves
with each other instead of the people
we must be when we go outside to the world of
rules and responsibilities that keep us apart during the day
but night brings another moment
when again we might let down our hair
and experience the naked truth of us it is this time
i hunger for when i may share with you all the things
i cannot with everyone else who knows me
for they know me less than do you
i know in a similar fashion i see the armor shed
in the light of our loving embrace and the trials
of our day melts in our kiss and again the moments
we have shared give us the strength
to move through time and space together

i know a surge when you first come into my range
i am overcome with the urge to grin
only we know the change within us
as we move into the rhythm of our lovers' dance
i am complete when i consider the maddening love
i carry inside calling for you to never leave my side
knowing that only together can i quench
the thirst i feel for another reaching deep within
pulling out the demons and angels that reside there
in the darkest places that are me you are the only one
who finds the me i don't want anyone else to know
even as i see you naked and defenseless before me
i am overwhelmed by the senses of love and trust
we have built for each other so it matters little
that no one else can understand the rush we feel
when first we come closer than anyone else

i like to feel you alive
(with me when you cry out the passion that fills you)
as we drink from the loving cup
(that is our pleasure)
within our bodies touch and slide mysteriously
(between our great breaths of moment and feeling)
we are drawn together like separate flames of a candle
(made brighter by their silent approach)
we explode in a thousand pieces of noise and musk
i like to feel you alive with me ever more
the piece of my soul
(i cannot go without)
touching every moment that i am

only a woman of such beauty could start wars
of thought and emotion as you do when we touch
i am at war with myself to reveal that which
drives my deepest darkest secrets you peel away the layers
of thought and defense i cannot hide
from your green gaze as you penetrate me
all through and I surrender my fortress
you do not destroy what you find there
but cherish it as a mother would a babe to her breast
i am cradled in the notion that i have found the one
who was meant to unlock all that i am and i her
it is a powerful moment when i am torn from what
i was and brought into what i become as
only a woman of such beauty could do

when first i asked the stars
of the woman who would one day
fill my world with life color children dreams
i did not know she would be you
every day i am amazed at the moment
when first i realized i was asking the stars
for you to come from where i never expected
to believe that i would find a woman
so imperfectly perfect
enough to fill my world even as i filled hers
with the things apart neither could wish for
we make together the love that shall shine
forward as we shall go

when first i wake to your loving arms
i feel the snuggly warmth that is us
as you shower me with kisses and touches
designed to entice my body to turn
into yours and give your every desire credence
i resist only because i would much rather bask in the warmth
we have kindled blissfully i reach for the curtain of slumber
before your gentle kisses again call me back from the shroud

distant stars in my soul that
i never knew were there
you move me places i never knew could be
when i becomes we
i find the impossible becomes ever possible
here and now our union
brings galaxies closer together in orbit
of our ever reaching souls mingled
with the best and worst that is both
i see the world turning and know that i
have traveled far and wide never
knowing the reasons why
it was you who called my soul
home

when i first see your body move without
touching the ground an angel you seem
when i watch you shine with love for me

i walked a dream and never knew
The world i saw was nothing
until you
i was alone thinking i'd stay that way
never realizing my fate was in your hands
now i walk with you and feel the warmth
of the love i never thought possible
for you have created me anew

when i walked that road alone
you replaced my dark visions with
hope and love

all the grace of a songbird

We have felt the joy of ecstasy and
the terror of pain

i want to spend my life with you
for the cost of my life is worth
even one moment in your arms
i love you more than life
lover mother friend wife
