Posters that were in My Classroom

I used to collect sayings and quotations that I found appropriate to education and life and put them up around my classroom. I felt it might be nice to put them here as well. If I don't know who wrote them, then assume they are anonymous. Ideas are wonderous and dangerous things, they make us think and shake up our comfortable lives. This is probably why so many people walk around like mindless drones: it doesn't require any effort or thought and they don't have to change. Enjoy!

30 years from now, it won't matter what shoes you wore, how your hair looked, or the jeans you bought. What will matter is what you learned and how you used it.

Watch your thoughts,

they become words.

Watch your words,

they become actions.

Watch your actions,

they become habits.

Watch your habits,

they become your character.

Watch your character,

it becomes your destiny.

-Frank Outlaw

If you always do

what you've always done

He who asks a question is a fool for five minutes, he who does not is a fool forever.

Chinese Proverb
