Acquired in the 8th round of the 1992 draft out of Dartmouth College. Bob pitched at Southern Oregon in '92, Madison in '93 and in West Michigan and Modesto in '94 before arriving in Huntsville in 1995. In '95 he appeared in 23 games (21 starts) with the Stars, winning 10 and losing 7. In '96 he was used mostly in midle relief, starting only 2 of the 38 games he appeared in and won 5 while losing 3. In '97 he pitched in 23 games (1 start) and had a recored of 4-3 when he was released by the A's late in the season.
