Star Spangled Stable & Wicked Welsh Ponies!
Chamcook Lily

Foaled 5.19.63 reg. # 11728 (1524).
Lily's sire was Rhyd-Y-Felin Seon (Coed Coch Serydwr x Coed Coch Sirius) and her dam was Revel Cookie (Owain Glyndwr x Revel Cheer). This made Lily a one-time grand-daughter of Coed Coch Glyndwr and a two time great grand daughter of Coed Coch Glyndwr. She was also a great grand-daughter of Wentworth Stormy petrel, Criban Winston, Revel Chestnut Lady, Coed Coch Seren, Bowdler Brightlight! Lily was trully amazing, inspiring in me a great love of welsh ponies.... unfortunately, when she was mine I was a child and my parents never paid any mind to Lily or her outstanding blue blood welsh lines! What a shame! Sadly, she was never bred. But, I find some of her bloodlines in each and every welsh we have had since....In fact, I will not buy one that doesn't connect bck to her. Lily died in a barn fire while on an extended visit to a farm in Rehoboth, MA. Oddly enough, she had escaped a barn fire prior to my owning her and then succumbed to the second one she endured... a sad, frightening experience this marvelous pony must have had. I loved her immensely and dreamed "big" when I was on her; something I re-live when I ride our current ponies! :) Lily and I never went further than a few 4H shows and other local venues, but I sure remember jumping many stone walls, riding trails, and all the while imagining I was on a famous fox hunt or getting ready for an Olympic event. I think all ponies should make every little boy or girl feel this special, brave, and filled with potential. She gave me many special gifts...and from this, I fell in love with the welsh!
