Christmas Goodies

This is another dollar store table that was begging for some Christmas decorations. Most of the items on this table are explained in detail on the "Tips page." The peppermints and the bowl of fruit are all made from modeling compund and the candy canes are pieces of white paperclips snipped to size. I then added red stripes with paint and a very small paintbrush. The box of tinsel or icicles is the real stuff wrapped around a piece of cardboard. For the presents I went through the house and found small pieces of "junk" to wrap. Just make sure your wrapping paper doesn't have large images on it that would be out of scale.

This is just a close up of what is on the "tips page." Even though these sweet little treats look intimidating they are really easy. I used modeling compound, red paint and a small paintbrush. When painting the stripes I found holding the peppermint with tweezers keeps it from moving around too much.
