flare Go to your library or bookstore or surf the world wide web. Astronomy is a self-learning hobby. Most libraries have current and back issues of astronomy magazines.

flare Enroll in an astronomy course at a local college, planetarium or join a group/club. A great way to meet other amateur astronomers. Club meetings are usually open to the public and welcome new people. These groups have star parties, special guest speakers and events, and any educational classes. You are guaranteed to make many new friends who are quick to offer help, opinions and advice.
