It’s What I Didn’t Say
It all began late last summer,
Over where we used to skate,
She got the wrong impression,
It’s what i didn’t say.
Two months down the road,
We saw eachother every day,
I should of realized it then,
It’s what I tried to say.
Then on New Year’s Eve,
Together we were all right.
Our first kiss, Oh it was bliss,
I’ll never forget that night.
Five or six days later,
She says our future’s looking grey,
Her words, “I just don’t trust myself”,
It’s what she meant to say.
Several months a-later,
“Can we try it another way?”
What she said then, it broke my heart,
“I met a guy the other day.”
She asked,”Will you wait for me?”
I said, “Of course, sure, ok”,
For t’was to late to say anymore,
It’s what i didn’t say.
She said she knew how i felt,
And thought of me every day,
She said, “I just don’t wanna hurt you”,
It’s what she didn’t say.
You say someday we could be together,
But when will be that day?
I’m With Arms Wide open now,
Wond’ring what you’ll say.
I’m thinking of you more and more now,
For I still haven’t seen that day,
I’m sitting alone now,
There’s nothing left to say.
