Personal Details:

Janeen grew up on her family's rapeg farm. Rapegs are akin to Terran grapes and are used chiefly to make wine and other alcoholic beverages. Janeen went to typical schooling on her homeworld. She was expected to stay and work in the family business but after hearing the numerous stories of space travel from her older brother Jaal and her Uncle Jocko (an independent cultural anthropologist), decided to strike out on her own to see the galaxy.

She stowed-away on a runabout to Miranda after Jaal & Taalis'  shoreleave was over. Boy, were her parents pissed. Jaal and Taalis convinced them to let Janeen go and see if travelling in space was all it was cracked up to be.

After Janeen spent a short time on Miranda, she decided she did and to her parents dismay enrolled in Starfleet Basic Training. Jaal wanted her to attend the Academy, but Janeen didn't want to wait another four years to begin her adventure.

She left her life on Trill behind which included playing in her  friend's band 'The Electric Mayhem' and being ridiculed by many of her classmates after they found out she liked dating guys 'and' girls.

This was an issue that caused Janeen a great amount of worry. Fortunately, she met a very good counsellor on Remora who helped her  come to terms with her sexuality. She's not totally comfortable with it yet, but she's getting there. And she likes a good party. Janeen is only the third member of her family to leave Trill.

Personality Profile:

Janeen is young and bright, although sometimes acts 'flighty'. Most people upon meeting her say 'typical blonde' but after getting to know her realize she is quite intelligent. Janeen picks up on things quickly. She can absorb and retain new information very well. She smiles very easily and displays an upbeat personality most of the time. She also has a tendency to wear her emotions on her sleeve. Her hobbies include playing guitar and singing.
