Biography: |
Rebecca Faith Striker was born in the city of Boston on the planet Earth to then Ensign Leonard Soval Striker and his new wife in Anne Halliwell shortly after she was born during her parents shore leave on Earth. For most of her life, Faith was raised on starships as her father was a starfighter pilot who transferred to Strategic Operations and a Medical officer. Everything was happy until her parents had to transfer from the USS Lakota, a mark two Excelsior class Explorer to the USS Lexington which was also an Excelsior-class ship. In the year of Faith's 11th birthday, the Merrimack was attacked at the beigning of the war with the Dominion when a Dominion attack group attacked the Lexington as it was heading to Starbase 212 to receive new officers and crew. During the battle with the attack ships, the Lexington was hit by a polarion beam which punched through the ship's shields and caused an EPS conduet to explode, badly wounding now Lieutenant Commander Anne Halliwell-Striker. The ship was lost and the Dominion captured many of the escape pods but the Runabout USS Star Fox managed to be one of the few vessels capable of getting away and the arrival of Captain Jonah Metis' USS Beowulf along with the USS Hera and a couple of other ships managed to save what escape pods they could. Faith and her father were brought back together in the secondary medical ward of the massive Jupiter class Heavy Explorer by the ship's chief science officer in Lieutenant Commander Zane. The only thing that was worse than loosing her home was loosing her mother shortly after being brought back together with her father. Captain Metis then requested a new Strategic Operations officer which Metis requested be Leo be the replacement. For the rest of the war and a couple of years afterwards, Faith spent as a civilian passenger aboard the starship learning whatever she could in school, soaking things up like a sponge and burying herself in learning a number of things from which the ship's counselor in one Lieutenant Commander Majin Bek that Faith suffered from problems brought on by her mother's death and felt that she had to fill the void caused by it and throughout all of this, her father was promoted to the rank of Commander following the departure of the Beowulf's previous XO. It was also around this time that Faith discovered her attraction to the fairer sex as she found herself crushing on the ship's Chief of Security in Lieutenant Commander T'Vek, but nothing came of this crush and she simply decided to focus more on her studies. In 2377, Faith took the tests to see if she would be able to enter Starfleet Academy and she passed, majoring in Operations and minoring in Flight Control and while she proved that she had her father's apitude for handling the various subsystems that make up the Operations of a starship, her natural talent for starship piloting and while she was at the academy, she spent most of her free time around Alison Metis (the eldest child of the Beowulf's Commanding Officer) and Cameron Ward (the kid brother of 2nd LT Greg Ward of the USS Galaxy's marine detachment) and became good friends with them, despite being in a year ahead of Cameron. Faith graduated three months after Federation Day in 2380 and was assigned to the newly launched USS Beowulf-A as a flight control officer and served there for the next two years and earned the position of Assistant Chief Flight Control Officer for the Beowulf under Lieutenant Commander Jason Argo, the Beowulf's Chief Flight Control Officer who she looked up to like an older brother and she learned alot from him. It wasn't until late 2382 that she learned of an opening for the USS Resolution for a Chief Flight Control officer and applied for the position with her fathers, now the commanding officer of the USS Eagle, blessing. |

Personality Profile: |
Faith is a professional and respectable young woman when on duty but she is something of a free spirit when she's not on duty but she won't do anything that would be considered to be "unbecoming an officer of the fleet" as she comes from a family with strong ties to the service. Faith is somewhat open and comfortable with her choice of lifestyle of being bi-sexual. However she does not go around proclaiming it to the entire universe as there are those who still do not find themselves comfortable with such things. She is still recovering from a failed relationship with a former member of the Beowulf's crew in Katherine O'Dare who was one of the NID members that was arrested during the June 1st 2381 mission which lead her to become the new aCFO of the ship. This has caused her some problems with her ability to trust people. Despite being a very friendly and outgoing young woman, Faith only trusts a very small amount of people but once you've earned her trust, you've earned it till the end of time. Thought the only person that has abused it and gotten away with it was Alison Metis who had a legitmate reason that Faith and Alison refuses to speak about to anyone who wasn't there. |

| Special Notes: |
Despite her young age and short time in the fleet, Faith has already seen alot in her short life having spent most of it aboard one Starship or another. The month before she was appointed to the Assistant Chief Flight Officer's position on the Beowulf, she was apart of a team gathered from the ship to stop members of a faction of Starfleet Intelligence known as the "National Interdiction Directive" or "NID" for short which included then Beowulf aCFO in Lieutenant Christopher Bates and the Beowulf's Chief Diplomatic Officer and JAG Officer (Navy) in Lieutenant Commander Talia Jaast. The mission happened during a trade negotiation with the Romulans. Faith is like her father as she has a sharp mind, though she tends not to act like it sometimes. |
