My Star Trek Collection:
I also collect model starships. My "bargain" was this Franklin Mint Entrprise-D, with detachable saucer section, gold plated warp nacelles & removable lid to view the bridge:
I also enjoy making up the plastic model kits. Here's my Enterprise-E model:
And here's some real antiques - DINKY toys, from the early 1970's (boxed, of course!).
The Enterprise, and Klingon D-7 model both fire plastic pellets!
The other ships are ERTL diecast models of the Enterprise-A & Bird of Prey.
I also have a special edition MicroMachines set too!
And here's my first ever Star Trek autograph, of John DeLancie, aka Q, who I met at the Forbidden Plannet in Glasgow, in December 1999, on a freezing cold winter's night…..
I got him to sign the back of his new book "I,Q", as well as the inside cover.
I,Q is a BRILIANT book, although rather short (especially for the much covated hardback Star Trek novel)
It takes Picard and data, on a mission to save the entire multi-verse, and face old enemies like Locutus of Borg, and the Q-Continium.
(It's also written by Peter David, who, in my opinion is the best Star Trek author - EVER!).
And here's an authographed poster, signed by Tim Russ, the actor who playes "Tuvok" from Voyager.
(Tim Russ has of course appeared in Star Trek as a number of different characters, including Devor (Terrorist in TNG's "Starship Mine"), T'Kar (Klingon in DS9's "Invasive Procedures) and an Enterprise-B bridge officer.in the movie Star Trek:Generations!
Again, it was signed in the Glasgow branch of Forbidden Planet.
=====================
My favorite series is the classic 1966 Star Trek series starring William Shatner as Captain Kirk. Next best is The Next Generation, followed by Deep Space Nine, and lastly Voyager.
