Here, you play a senior Starfleet cadet, and take simulator missions to command the Oberth, Miranda, Constitution and Excelsior class starships.

You take orders from Admiral Kirk, Captain Sulu and Commander Checkov.

All missions are sandwiched between different cut-scenes that show you and how you deal with your simulator's crew and your disciplining of them and getting them to feel as part of the team.

During your time at the Academy, you get to unfurl a conspiracy, targeted at one of your crewmembers.

The movies are excellent, and Kirk, Sulu and Checkov are all in their movie uniforms when talking to you, which is great. This is the movie-style game, using the original series actors, which makes the game very special.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this game is the "Create Mission" part, where you can command 4 starships in battle against another 4 ships. Great Fun.

This game also has a special Multiplayer function.

There is a sequel to this game, which is called Klingon Academy, which uses superior graphics/sound etc - with a better array of ships and starbases.
