What is Air?: French duo of JB Dunckel and Nicholas Godin.
What type of music do they play?: This is a difficult one, but the broadest category in which they fit is Ambient.
How long have they been around?: Since 1995
What albums/songs are they known for?: Their biggest hit was arguably the european smash Sexy Boy. Their most popular album is undoubtedly Moon Safari. It's had the most widespread critical acclaim.
What instruments do they use?: Moogs, Korg MS20, Fender rhodes (I know, gibberish if you aren't accustomed to the genre) as well as drum, guitars and other common band instruments.
Where are their albums/singles available?: Any online store such as Amazon or Barnes and Noble stock basically the entire Air disography.

What music are they into?: Burt Bacharach, Brian Wilson, Serge Gainsbourg, Portishead, Beck & Bjork.
Which is Dunckel and which is Godin?: JB Dunckel is the one to the right (on the keyboard) in the little picture above.
Who do they sound like?: No one! But if I had to put a label on them I'd say a mix of Daft Punk, Zero 7 and Royksopp.
What is unique about their music?: Generally their songs are a bit esoteric. Sex is a recurring theme in their songs and interviews! Of course that's not what they're all about but they are dirty Frenchmen sometmes! For example, Wonder Milky Bitch revolves around oral sex and and then there's the 10,000 Hertz Legend (if you don't know the urban myth look it up, you're online!)
Are they gay?: No.
How old are they?: In their early 30s.
When is their next project out?: They recently completed an album (City Reading - Tre Storie Western) that compliments the novel 'City' by Italian author Alessandro Baricco. A full length album is expected in January 2004,                            titled 'Talkie Walkie'.
