What to Do While We Wait
Well 2003 has gotten under way and it's almost time for Superbowl. I guess that's one of the things some of us can do to entertain ourselves while we patiently, and some impatiently, wait as Lucas finishes up the script for the much anticipated Episode III. But not everyone can do just that. Hey, some of us just don't like football or baseball or any sport at all. Some of us have jobs, kids and other more important things to do but, Star Wars is always in our head. I guess there's not much we can do. Many rumors will pop up that will spark renewed interest and keep the message boards flooded with ideas and speculations and I guess that most of that is to keep us from going insane while we wait. For me reading rumors is like reading the tabloids in a supermarket, I pick it up, I glance through it and then I put it down wondering, Where the hell do they dig up this crap? What pains me is that sometimes the crap turns out to be true but hey, that's the way it is right? So many things are going to happen in the next two years as Episode III will get on its way. We can always look forward to the new Insider for small tidbits and inuendos but basically it's all recycled information or dodged questions that really wont fill that void in our stomach, leaving the question, Why don't they just give us a bit more? Rick McCallum has a way of just not really getting the point out and answering a question with answers we've already heard or with information we already know but, that's just the way it is. Most of us will have to endure other movies as we wait. I patiently am waiting for films like Matrix Reloaded and The Amazing Spider-Man as they are scheduled to come out sometime this year and next. Several movies will be hitting theaters and some look to be very enjoyable but the question that pops into my head is, Will they satisfy my urge? Probably not.
