Admiral Ackbar:

          Admiral Ackbar was born on the watery planet of Mon Calamari. He worked hard to become a renowned military strategist. admiral Ackbar played a major role in the defeat of Imperial forces during the Galactic Civil War. He has now risen to higher rank but is still called Admiral by his trusted troops. Admiral Ackbar was the leader of Coral Depths City when it was nearly destroyed by Imperial forces. He was enslaved and became an interpreter for Grand Moff Tarkin. During that time Ackbar heard information of a super weapon that would be used to destroy the Rebellion. During an assassination attempt on tarkin by the Rebellion, ackbar was rescued. Ackbar convinced his people to suppert the Rebellion. To aid the Rebellion the Mon Calamari contributed a large, beautiful star cruiser appropriately called the Mon Calamari Star Cruiser. During one of the Rebellions most bloodiest battles, The Battle of Endor, Ackbar contributed to the destruction of the Second Death Star.
          Ackbar had been named a member of the Provisional Council and the ruling Inner council of the New Republic. He was arrested on charges that he embezzled New Republic funds on false evidence planted by Grand Admiral Thrawn. He was cleared of the charges in time to lead the New Republic fleet in the victory over Admiral Thrawn's forces during the Battle at Bilbringi Shipyards.
          Later, with Princess Leia, on a diplomatic mission to the planet Vortex, Ackbar crashed his B-wing fighter in to the towering crystalline Cathedral of Winds, killing 358 Vors. It was discovered that his cheif mechanic, who he had trusted, was turned into an Imperial operative and sabotaged his ship. Ackbar's name was finally cleared.
          He ressumed his role in the New Republic and returned to Coruscant where he and Winter, Leia's aid, developed a close relationship. Ackbar and Winter returned to the windy planet Vortex for a ceremony marking the rebuilding of the Cathedral of Winds.
