Obi-Wan (Ben) Kenobi:

          To most people Old Ben Kenobi was just that, Old Ben Kenobi. An old hermit that lived on the desert planet of Tatooine. Secluded and keeping to himself Kenobi didn't keep much in touch with the outside world. In truth Kenobi was much more than that. He was known as Obi-Wan Kenobi a powerful Jedi Knight and respected general who fought in the Clone Wars.
          Kenobi trained under the guidence of Jedi Master Yoda who thought Kenobi was ready to train his own apprentice. Yoda concluded Kenobi's training and he went his own way. During the Clone Wars Kenobi fought alongside Bain Organa and the two soon became good friends.
          Kenobi also found friendship in a young man named Anaking Skywalker who, he sensed, was strong in the force. Kenobi took it upon himself to train Anakin in the ways of the force. But Kenobi lacked experience as a teacher and did not see how Anakin was being lured close and closer to the Dark side of the force. When Kenobi finally saw what was happening he tried to bring Anakin back to the light side of the force but Anakin was too far and instead the two endured in a fierce lightsaber duel. No one knows for certain but it is said that Anakin fell into a pit of lava. He survived but was half dead and couldn't breathe under his own power. From that point on, in his mind, he was now transformed into Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith.
          Knowing now about Anakin, Kenobi hid his twin children. The baby girl was given to Bail Organa on Alderaan and the baby boy was given to Owen Lars on Tatooine to raise as their own. Niether child was to be told of their real parents. Kenobi went on to live on Tatooine where he could keep a close eye on the boy, Luke Skywalker. At one time Kenobi tried to give Luke his father's lightsaber but Owen stopped him. Kenobi kept hidden as Vader and the Emperor hunted down and destroyed the Jedi.
          Ben finally had the chance to talk to Luke after he rescued him from a band of Tusken Raiders. He finally gave Luke Anakin's lightsaber. They watched an important message generated from an R2 unit. The message was from Princess Leia Organa urging Ben to help her in her fight against the Empire. Kenobi invited Luke to join him on a mission to Alderaan where on the way he would teach him the ways of the Jedi. Luke said no. He could not. He soon found he had no choice after stormtrooper raided his home and killed his aunt and uncle. They found a transport to Alderaan and Kenobi began Luke's training.
          When they finally reached Alderaan's coordinates they found that it had been destroyed by a super weapon, the Death Star. They were dragged into the Death Star by it's tractor beam. He, Luke, the two droids, their pilots, Han Solo and Chewbacca soon embarked in a chase for the princess aboard the Death Star. When they finally tried to make their escape Luke noticed that Kenobi was in a duel with a dark figure, Darth Vader. Kenobi glanced at Luke and then finally let himself be struck down by Vader's blade. Kenobi became one with the force. Kenobi was only dead to those who didn't believe in the force. Kenobi appeared several times after as a spirit to Luke. He guided him when Luke blew the first Death Star. He told him to go to Dagobah and find Yoda and finish his training. After the Battle of Endor Ben along with Anakin and Yoda finally appeared to Luke as spirits.
