Gilad Pallaeon:

          Gilad Palleon served the Old Republic and then later the Empire for more than fifty years. Many viewed Palleon as a coward and weak military man but Palleon was more than he seemed. He was not one to make foolish sacrifices.
          The Corellian military man, who lied about his age to enlist, graduated at the top of his class in the Naval Academy. His quick thinking to ward off some pirates in his first assignment earned him a spot on the Star Destroyer Chimaera. Throughout the years Palleon climbed the ranks and earned the rank of Captain, second-in-command. Palleon then took over the Chimaera when it's commander was killed during the Battle of Endor. Figuring the outcome, Palleon ordered the few Imperial ships left to retreat.
          Palleon and others worked to try and bring the Empire back but with little luck. Suddenly a strong leader emerged and chose the Chimaera as his headquarters ship. Palleon advised Grand Admiral Thrawn, even though he ignored him, while on the Chimaera. Palleon commanded the Chimaera during the Battle of Sluis. Later Palleon, under Thrawn's orders, acquired Niles Ferrier and Mara Jade to search for the location of the Katana Dreadnaught fleet which had been missing for a long time now. During the Battle of Bilbringi Thrawn's Noghri bodyguard, Rukh, killed the admiral. Palleon once again took over the situation and ordered a retreat. Years later Palleon commanded an Imperial fleet with the rank of Vice Admiral under the command of High Admiral Teradoc. Later Palleon aided Admiral Daala by inviting the thirteen strongest warlords to a meeting to unite them. Palleon stood and watched as Daala gassed the warlords to death. Daala then ordered Palleon to command a fleet of Star Destroyers and meet her on Yavin 4. There she would destroy the Jedi Academy. The Jedi in training created a Force storm sending Palleon and his fleet across space. When Palleon finally returned the New Republic had defeated Daala. Daala escaped and in light of her failure, handed all Imperial command to Palleon.
