Emperor Palpatine:

          Palpatine was an imposing figure ruling by fear and terrorizing those who opposed him. For 25,000 years the Old Republic slowly deteriorated with corruption and this made Palpatine's rise into power much easier. At first Palpaine seemed quiet and alienated keeping to himself. He seemed non-ambitious and kept from the corruption. Palpaine was far from that. He was not only a senator using the inefficiency of the bereaucracy into making him the Senate leader. He made everyone believe that he was a kind and generous senator. But before anyone could see his true nature Palpatine had done away with the senate and declared himself emperor.
          At first the senate stood as an opposition to Palpatine. Palpatine's Empire derived on racism toward all non-human, tyranny and above all, fear. Little could be done by the few senators who opposed him. Finally those senators decided to back an open Rebellion. This gave Palpatine an excuse to completely dissolve the senate and destroy his enemies. Palpatine either black-mailed or eliminated any senator who had strongly opposed him. He ordered the executions of the more vocal and opposing senators Mon Mothma and Garm Bel Ibis. They both escaped his cluthches but to lure thim to him, Palpatine slaughtered Bel Iblis' family. To build his army for subjugated entire systems he removed funding from artistic and social programs. Palpatine either lured into the dark side or murdered the few remaining Jedi that protected the Old Republic.
          Palpatine had thought of everything, including the future. His Empire could not rule without him. Palpatine went into seclusion revealing himself only when needed and only to a select few. Him commanders and leaders presented a publice image for the Empire. Darth Vader provided an imposing figure and instilled fear. To prepare for the future, Palpatine worked on a clone of himself hoping to transfer his mind and essence into a younger body.
          One thing Palpatine did not foresee was a young farm boy on the outer rim planet of Tatooine. Luke Skywalker, the sone of Darth Vader, was about to embark in a life altering journey. After the Empire slaughtered his family, he and Ben Kenobi hired a frieghter commanded by Han Solo and his mate Chewbacca to take them to Alderaan. There they would return two droids, C-3PO and R2-D2, to Bail Organa where he would remove the technical readouts of Palpatine's super-weapon, The Death Star. Before they could deliver the droids though, Grand Moff Tarkin demonstrated the power of the Death Star by destroying the planet of Alderaan. After rescuing Princess Leia Organa from the Death STar and Obi-Wan's death at the lightsaber of Darth Vader; Luke, along with several other Rebellion fighters, destroyed the Death Star along with Moff Tarkin. Darth Vader, though, escaped the fierce explosion. There after Vader and Luke would meet up several times more. Finally, during the Battle of Endor, Luke surrendered to Vader and Palpatine. Palpatine tried to turn Skywalker to the dark side and "take his father's place," but Luke resisted. After a fierce lighsaber duel where Luke defeated Vader severing his hand, Palpatine made a decision to destroy the prodigal son. While Palpatine hurled blue force lightning at Luke, Vader searched his feelings. Vader then lifted Palpatine's body and tossed him into the Death Star's core shaft.
          That would not be the end of Palpatine though. Six years later a cloned Palpatine emerged. For a short while Luke accepted the training of this Palpatine but with the aid of Leia they destroyed him. Months later arose a final clone. This cloned Palpatine planned on kidnapping Leia and turning her unborn child to the dark side. Palpatine also planned on destroying the Alliance with his new super weapon, the Galaxy Gun. Palpatine failed at both attempts. He was destroyed and the Galaxy Gun was sabotaged, destroying the Imperial throneworld of Byss.
