Joesph Osborn, Son of Solomon, Was a vetern of the war in 1812. He also was a justic of the peace. He preformed the first marrages in Salem township, Mcdonough Co. Ill. Two he preformed were Morgan Jones to Elizabeth Osborn, and James Osborn to Ruth Smith.
Joesph's son Solomon had 5 siblings. some married cousins. He also had 15 children by Dicy and Elsa. The Osborn family is hard to do research on because their are alot of them. Also the marrages to cousins can confuse, as well as the death of wives, and remarrages. the Osborns, Smiths, and Stewerts are intermingled by many gererations. |
