Having just beaten Mt.Battle vs. 100 with 98 (nighty-eight!) continues leftover I think its time I coughed up my strategy. I used two Ubers and something else. The rest of my team were fillers. Heres the team (stuff in <> is filler and thus doesn't really matter): Rayquaza @ Choice Band Fly Extreemespeed^-I know its the (poor) moveset it comes with but its workable enough. Fly gets STAB and when you add that to Rayquaza base 150 attack and the choice band it sure hurts. Extreemespeed also benefits from the cohice band. Stay away from Ice attacks but otherwise sweep away. Mewtwo @ Leftovers Psychic Ice beam Thunderbolt Recover ^-Mewtwos exceptional special attack and great speed means it will be netting lots of kills in the later areas (i.e. Rayquazas stopped being able to OHKO nearly everything). Psychic is there for STAB so use lots and the other two are there for varviety. Hey its my RBY Mewtwo all over again and its just as good as before :) (okay its slightly worse due to split stats ...) Of course we have a problem, what happens when Shedinja shows up (why did I even think of that...) heres where the 3rd Pokémon comes in. Tyranitar @ ^-Its the colosseum tyranitar but its simple, sand stream KILLS shedinja (so does struggle and other things, like FLY! *smacks slef*) In hinsight it was stupid as Rayquaza has Fly which is Super effective vs.bugs thus KOing Shedinja (also, Rayquaza could use up extreemespeeds 5PP and struggle it away). Lets think about a non-uber version of the team: Starmie makes a good replacement for Mewtwo (as it can learn the exact sames moves!) though your going to work a bit harder... Salamence is essentially a weaker Rayquaza though i'm not so sure. Who knows you might actually use a TEAM rather than 2 Ubers. General thoughs: Wobbufett and Wynaut should rot in HELL! Thanks to them I lost out on MORE continues (FYI, I used two continues) I see why the online metagame bars these cheap-asses from play! Steel types proved a bit troublesome (as long as Registeel can't set up* it can be 3HKOed by Mewtwos Thunderbolt) I was overacting about the whole Soul Dew thing. Latias WASN'T used by the person who had it and Latios was OHKOed by Mewtwos Ice beam. Had I been using non-ubers I don't know what would happen... Theres ONE Shedinja and its early on! Tyranitar really wasn't needed at all :( *-Mewtwo was haxed by Regice and was frozen for ages allowing registeel to max out both defences. I got it down to struggle but relaised the struggle war was futile. In the re-attempt I freeze Regirock for it to defrost the turn it was frozen! Hardly what I would call fair... I used two contines: -See the Regice comment. That battle tthe person seems to use two regis and something else (something else sent out first). They are the Regis only appearance. -The final battle. Stupid Magneton Parralysed Mewtwo meaning it got wiped out by Kyorges Hydro Pump before it could do anything. Rayquaza Extreemespeeded and got KOed by Ice beam (who did'nt see that coming?). Tyranitar used thunder and it hit leaving Kyorge in the red, Tyranitar is KOed by Hydro pump. Tyranitar did a good job for being 34 levels lower!
