I don’t own Inuyasha…

To answer my reviewers…

Kagome33: Thanks…I like all reviews I get…

Flambeau Willow: Don’t know yet how Fujimaro will use this…I have a possible ending to the fic and I might need to do a sequel fic…This fic is turning into an epic, I swear…

Crystal Sapphire: I am going to call that fluffy thing on Sess a tail for this fic…Still don’t know what it is for sure since it’s about 50/50 split between tail and boa and/or pelt…I didn’t want to hurt Shippo but him being injured by Sess helped me get him into the castle in a different way…

Ok…Decided to have Sess have a tail…Moving on…

Chapter 8

The Gardens…

Kagome closed her eyes as she tried to summon a ki blast to stop Sesshoumaru from obliterating her existence.  The Demon Lord scoffed at the Miko’s attempts to defend herself.  Picking Kagome up by her neck, Sesshoumaru began to squeeze ever so slightly.  “Now, Miko, you die,” Sesshoumaru purred.  Before Sesshoumaru could eliminate Kagome, two small voices could be heard coming into the Gardens.  It was Rin and Shippo.  Sesshoumaru growled in frustration.  The Demon Lord dropped Kagome to the ground and went to herd the children back to bed.  “Sesshoumaru-sama! Look who I found! A new friend for Rin!” Rin cried out when she caught sight of Sesshoumaru.

Shippo smiled nervously up at Sesshoumaru.  “Get to bed, you two,” Sesshoumaru chided, barely managing to control his bloodlust.  The two children, thankfully, obeyed and ran off again.  Sesshoumaru smirked down at the unconscious Kagome that he had hid from the children.  Nudging the Miko roughly, Sesshoumaru was not prepared for the ki blast that Kagome launched at him.  Sesshoumaru howled in pain as the purifying power hit him full in the face.  Lucky for the Demon Lord, Tenseiga came to life and protected its master once again.

Sesshoumaru knelt in a consuming exhaustion.  Kagome picked herself painfully off the ground.  ‘I can’t believe I survived that…but why? Why did he attack me?’ Kagome thought to herself as she knelt down by Sesshoumaru.  Feeling compassion rather than anger at the fallen demon, Kagome gingerly laid a hand on Sesshoumaru.  The Demon Lord growled at Kagome’s touch but otherwise, allowed her to continue. Kagome summoned more of her healing power to heal the Demon Lord.  The wounds he had suffered at her hand soon disappeared but than a sort of trance came over the Miko and more of the power flowed into Sesshoumaru’s shoulder (the one without an arm).  Before Kagome could see the results of her work, she passed out.  Sesshoumaru roused a few minutes later and found he had new arms.  ‘She…she healed me…’ Sesshoumaru thought as he flexed and stretched his new limb.  Picking up the unconscious Miko, Sesshoumaru went back to the castle…

Fujimaro’s castle to the East…

Fujimaro, the Lord of the Eastern Lands, was contemplating his next move against Sesshoumaru.  It was obvious now that the Demon Lord would not follow through with his orders.  The cat demon stretched out in pure laziness.  ‘How can I use this to my advantage? Do I use blackmail? Do I tell the other two Lords?’ Fujimaro thought to himself.  Truly, this was a hard decision.

Infirmary at Sesshoumaru’s Castle…

Kagome lay deep in a sleep-like coma.  The Miko still had a pulse and her breathing was strong…but she refused to rouse…Kagome was now stuck in between two plains of reality; she was dreaming…

Kagome’s dream…

There was white everywhere.  An empty, lifeless void and Kagome was lost.  “Can anybody hear me?” Kagome called out.  ‘This can’t be real…it just can’t,’ Kagome thought.  The temperature remained a steady chill and Kagome started to shiver.  Then, there were footsteps and then a form began to become visible.  Kagome squinted, trying to make out who was coming.  It was Kikyo! But not the cold shell of the priestess, this Kikyo was smiling sadly at her reincarnation.  “Kagome…” Kikyo whispered to Kagome.  Kagome could only nod at her former rival.  “I bring news of great importance. You will have to make a great decision soon, my sister. Great trouble is brewing and it is headed towards you and the ones you love. You must be prepared. Be not weak in your defenses. Let your heart be at peace with the past. Only then will you be free to defend those who love you.”  With that, Kikyo vanished and the white void disappeared. End dream…

Kagome lurched up in bed, breathing erratically, heart pounding.  She had seen Kikyo…the priestess had warned her of trouble…what kind of trouble though?  Shaking her head, Kagome got up and carefully clothed herself.  ‘I need to talk to Sesshoumaru about this…’ Kagome resolved in her head.  A servant came in.  “Excuse me but where is Lord Sesshoumaru?”  The servant answered, “He is in the dojo, training…” Kagome headed off to the dojo…

Whew!  Another chapter in the hole… I am really stuck on Fujimaro’s treachery…

Should I:

Make him blackmail Sesshoumaru Tell the other Lords Keep mulling over decision Or something completely different

I need your help!  Please make suggestions…
