I don’t own anything…
TT What do did I do to deserve such wonderful reviewers?
Desert Wolf: Yes, Fujimaro is dead…so is Naraku…Tenseiga purified him for good! What do I have planned for Inuyasha…loads and loads of angst…he’s the plot driver in the next part to this epic (it is turning out that way…). I don’t know about any bad guys though…ah…the rest of the Lords…Grin By the way, here’s Naraku…have at him…throws a bound and gagged Naraku to most certain doom! I is updating as fast as I can…I had two new fic ideas attack me…one has resulted in Autumn Winds, another is more like a writing challenge for myself…hint…Sango/Inuyasha pairing…”
Sesshoumarulover713: Ah…but this epilogue will have the biggest cliffy ever recorded in modern history…laughing evilly Anyways…there will be a sequel.
On with the epilogue…
Epilogue…
Kagome awoke in soft surroundings. Memories of the other night filtered in. “Inuyasha…” As far as she knew, the hanyou’s soul was forever doomed to walk the earth. Getting up out of bed, Kagome padded over to the basin of water that sat on the dressing table. Pulling out a midnight blue kimono with silver streaks running in all sorts of directions, Kagome put it on without the help of a female servant. Her chest was still bound from the other day so Kagome had a head start on the household. Dressed finally, the Miko made her way downstairs. Passing the door that led to the garden, Kagome sensed a demon’s aura. A very particular demon’s aura and it was coming from the Rose Garden…
The Rose Garden…
Sesshoumaru sat in complete silence as he regarded his half-brother’s slumping form. The hanyou was in deep depression, once again awoken after death. Over and over again, Inuyasha chanted one name… “Kikyo…Kikyo…Kikyo…where are you?” Head turning towards the castle, the Demon Lord sensed Kagome’s arrival.
Bracing for the emotional scene ahead, Sesshoumaru ducked up into a tree and watched as the drama unfolded. Kagome entered the garden and almost screamed in shock. There sat Inuyasha, her Inuyasha. He was rocking back and forth, muttering under his breath. Kagome couldn’t make out what the hanyou was saying but she ran and knelt down by him. “Inuyasha?” The hanyou stopped his rocking body and looked up. “Kikyo…no…I won’t go back…I won’t…”
Kagome tried to touch Inuyasha’s head but the hanyou backed away, eyes unfocused. “No…get away from me!” Inuyasha sped off and jumped over the wall. Kagome collapsed in complete despair. Tightly gripping the ground, the Miko started to moan incoherently, and then harsh racking sobs overtook her body. Sesshoumaru came out from the tree and approached the fallen Kagome. Kagome sensed the Demon Lord’s presence and turned, “Why! Why did you bring him back?” Sesshoumaru sighed, “I had no intention of bringing him back.” Kagome looked away from the Demon Lord and spoke, “I am leaving, tonight…”
So it was that Kagome and her adopted son went back to the village they called home. Days turned to weeks, weeks to months and Sesshoumaru, Great Lord of the Western Lands wondered at what he had intended to do with the Miko…
Deep in the forest of Inuyasha…
A lone howl could be heard deep into the forest. A figure with willowy silver hair could be seen standing on a tree branch. His eyes were a hollow gold and his appearance ragged. Only two words were ever spoken by the figure… “Vengeance” and “Kagome”
Part One is done…hahaha
