I don’t own anything…

Ok…here it is…the next chapter…

Kagome has a decision to make in this chap…

Change

Kagome staggered out of the comforting warmth of the bedsheets and struggled to get a grip on her mind. Running a hand over the side of her hand, Kagome felt an unusual pointiness to her ears. Coming out of her stupor, Kagome rushed to the mirror and gasped in shock. In place of normal ears were the pointed ears of a demon. Kagome stared at her reflection. Her eyes, once a chocolate brown, were now a piercing midnight blue.

There were double blue stripes on her cheeks and a mix of ebony black and a faint silver tinge to her hair. ‘What did he do to me?’ Kagome thought, still fiddling with her new ears. The now demonic Miko glanced down at her hands. Slightly extended claws took the place of nails. Kagome groaned but then noticed something…she didn’t feel like a demon…no blood lust, heightened senses, nothing. Just her appearance was changed. Kagome’s magic had not tried to purify her. Kagome got dressed, somewhat in a hurry to find Sesshoumaru…

The hot springs…

Inuyasha’s ears perked up at the clicking of the door as it opened. Sesshoumaru stood there, pausing for a moment and seemed uncertain about his next move. Inuyasha peered sadly at his elder brother and said, “Do what you will, Sesshoumaru.” The Demon Lord slowly walked toward Inuyasha, drawing Toukijin. Just as Sesshoumaru was about to finish the job, Kagome came barreling in.

Hurling herself over Inuyasha’s body, the Miko turned pleading eyes onto Sesshoumaru. The Demon Lord took in Kagome’s changed appearance and his mind reeled. ‘What has Tensiega done to her?’ Kagome turned to Inuyasha, who was shocked to say the least. “Kagome? I…I killed you…” Kagome answered, “And I forgive you, Inuyasha. But you destroyed my love for you when you descended to hell with Kikyo.” Inuyasha sighed and then noticed Kagome’s changed appearance. “You’re a demon!?!”

The Miko subconsciously ran a finger over her pointed ears. “I guess…” Sesshoumaru watched Kagome and Inuyasha and turned away at the tender exchange. The Demon Lord withdrew from the hot springs.

Northern Lands…

Naraku paced back and forth. He was not used to being as powerless as he was now. So trickery and deceit were the tools of choice for the evil entity. Naraku had sent Hisato’s son, whom he had cleverly brainwashed to do his bidding, to take a message to the Western Lands. For Naraku knew that his only chance at regaining his formerly powerful form was to lure Sesshoumaru and the little Miko out of their hideaway…
