Hello! My name is Brandi and this is my page on the Internet to tell you about me!
My Mom adopted me from the local animal shelter. I was an owner turn in and didn't have much time before I was to be put to sleep. Thankfully, my new Mom saw me on the Internet and rescued me!
I am a pure blooded Chow Chow and my vet thinks I am about three years old. I'm in perfect health and full of energy! I love playing with my new brother and sister, Max and Bernadette. I also love chasing field mice and lizards. We live out in the country so there are plenty for me to chase.
As she does with my brother and sister, Mom has taken tons of pictures of me. She's going through them all now to pick the very best ones to show you. For right now, though, here are the pictures that were taken of me by the people who work at the shelter. It was these very pictures that my new Mom saw that made her want to rescue me (especially the first one)!
As you can see, my fur was rather matted and I needed a really good bath and grooming. Mom gave me both and now I'm even prettier than in these pictures. She also bought me a new leather collar so I could get rid of the old, tattered nylon collar I am wearing in these pictures. It was much too big for me anyway.
My Mom loves my expression in this picture. She thinks it looks like I'm smiling. This happy expression is one that I usually have on my face all the time. You can see just the very tip of my black tongue in this picture. A blueish-black tongue is one of the most distinguishing characteristics of my breed.
You can better see the condition of my coat in this picture. Some of my fur had been cut as a way of removing some mats that were in it.
This is a really nice picture of my profile.
This is one of what my Mom calls my "precious pup poses".
