Hello! My name is Lucy and this is my page on the Internet to let you know everything is there is to know about me!
My new Mom found me through a Saint Bernard mailing list she is on. I am a 14-15 month old Saint Bernard/Golden Retriever mix. I wandered into my previous home as a stray. My rescuers and adopted Mom think I'm the sweetest girl in the world.
I'm a pretty sick little girl that needs a lot of love and help. I have heartworms. I am currently undergoing treatment to try and cure my heartworms. Everyone who loves me is optimistic that I will come through with shining colors.
For at least the next two or three months I can't run and play with my new brother and sisters or get too excited. Too much activity could make me really sick and put me in extreme danger. Once my treatment is complete and I have finished my recovery period I can start acting like the puppy that I am!
I'm a little on the thin side right now weighing only 86 pounds. My Mom is going to do her best to get some good weight on me by my next vet visit. She doesn't want to get me too big too quick because of my current health situation. Too much weight strain might cause some complications for my heart by making it work harder. Once she gets a chance to talk the entire situation over with my new vet then we'll know just how much weight will be alright for me to gain without hurting me.
I'm so thankful to David and Emily for finding me and getting me started on my treatments. Without them I would never be getting the second chance at the good live I deserve.
My new Mom has already had her camera out snapping photos of me. She has a bunch on the hard drive and is picking the best of them to put on my page. Once I'm over my treatment and able to start playing she should really be able to get some good photos of me!

I had some mats behind my ears that can be seen in this picture. They were removed while I was at the veterinarian's office.
In this picture I'm scared. This was taken the first time I had ever been to the veterinarian in my life. I was really scared because I didn't know what to expect. You can sort of see that I am a little thin in this picture. I won't be looking like that for long!
You can really see how pretty I am in this picture! You can also see the Golden Retriever in me quite well in this picture. I have a Saintly snout and beautiful Golden Retriever eyes. My coloring is also a nice cross between my two breeds.
I've got the sweetest face in the whole world (or so my Mom keeps telling me).
