Our Order's Most Holy Days

All holidays should observe the sacred communion rite of Chocolate Wafers and the Blessed Beverage Coffee during the festivities. Substitution of beer for the Blessed Beverage is allowed on occasion due to the Beloved Consort's tendency to sulk so darn much if he can't have the odd brew.

Altars for each holiday are set up identically except for the decorations mentioned under each heading. A simple white altar-cloth, candles of blue, brown, and gold. Some representation of the Luminescent One - preferably the sacred Boonie and Glasses - should be present at all times. For those of the Bandana sect, add or substitute as appropriate.

Daniel-mas

July 8

Celebrations last 10 days and nights. Representing his 10 long, elegant fingers and 10 magestic toes.

Decorations:

Unification

December 31 - January 1

As others celebrate the transition from one year into the next, we celebrate the transcendence of our Lord from the mortal plain to the divine.

At Midnight, we toast the unification of St. Daniel and his Consort, Jack, with an Irish Coffee.

Ribbons of Blue and Brown entwined together should be placed around the altar. The representations of the Luminescent One mentioned above and the Beloved Consort (baseball cap, beer bottle, p90..) should be placed together in the center of some representation of the Heavenly Gate that brought them together.

Archaeophagy

February 5

This celebrates when the warrior Machello took the form of St Daniel and invited the lowly to feast on him.

Through the divine physical form of St Daniel, Machello left behind sorrow and loneliness and came to learn of the joy of giving, of interacting with others and as a consequence rediscovered his humanity and sacrificed himself so that St Daniel could be returned to his physical form.

Both offerings and consumption of the Most Divine Dessert, Ice Cream Sundae should occur--multiple servings are not only permitted, but encouraged.
