A Birthday Party to Remember Saturday, June 5, 2004, St. David's celebrates its first 90 years. |
Rev. Nancy Willis welcomed more than 200 parishioners and guests. Everyone was treated to a gourmet feast prepared by masterchef Joe Conti and the staff of the Cowesett Inn, followed by the wit, wisdom and hilarity of Father Misgivings, aka Dave Kane. All were drawn to the dessert table for the various goodies prepared by St. D's culinary experts. Diners made short work of the beautiful centerpiece cake, the creative handiwork of Michael and Monica Gerard. |
Honored guests: Some whose connections to St. David's span the longest time. |

David Owens, son of Betty and Al Owens, two of St. David's most dedicated parishioners, grew up in this parish. He no longer lives close enough to make it his home parish, but he has deep roots here. Barbara Colvin Whitelaw was baptized at St. David's. She has been a parishioner for 81 years. Her father was Senior Warden and her mother was organist. |
St. David's thanks the planning committee for putting together this grand and memorable event: Kim Walsh, Lois Bogda, Sue and Richard Cranston, Sara and Tony Oliver, Fred and Val Jaggi, Stephanie Abatiello, Barbara Turner, Charlie Harrison, Louise Wicks, Frank DelSanto, Paul Miller and Nancy Willis. |
