Sixteen contributors made the first-ever St. David's Art Show a fascinating look into the minds and talents of some members of this small, otherwise reserved Episcopal church in its modest home nestled amongst the quiet side-streets of Cranston RI. A wine and cheese reception was the perfect venue for the dozens of exhibits on display, whose content, both old and new, spanned a wide variety of media, styles and tastes. Fred Jaggi's working models of orbiting celestial bodies are driven by multiple hand-carved gears fashioned by the artist himself. The rotation of each miniature planet corresponds with the rotational motion of the actual planet it represents. |
