Young Parishioners in
the Heart of Early Christianity
It was a school field trip in April of 2007 that brought Jackie Kelley and her sons on a once-in-a-lifetime journey to the place where early Christianity took root in Asia Minor.

Above, the chapel leading to the grotto where St. John is said to have written the Revelations in Greek.

On the left, the amphitheater in Ephesus where St. Paul preached Christianity in his mission to convert his followers to the new faith. The amphitheater is known for its exceptional acoustics. Accommodating thousands, it has stood the test of time and is used for concerts and other events to this day.

Here Nicholas and Noah James Kelley are standing in front of the house of the Virgin Mary in Turkey. After the death of Jesus, Mary is said to have come to this region with St. John, where she spent the rest of her life.
