| St. David's Medallion Challenge - For St. David's Day - March 1st - Pastor Beth has challenged you to do something artistic with your St. David's Medallion or write a sentence or two about what St. David's means to you. You'll find them in the narthex - Bring them in to be displayed on St. David's Day. Interfaith Food Ministry - St. David's commitment for volunteering is the first Saturday of the month. The Food Pantry is in desperate need of food (or monetary) donations. If you haven't donated in the past (or maybe you have but not recently?) would you consider helping out now? Anyone interested in helping out should contact Michael Sheldon at 353-5836. The next discussion date for St. David's on the Hill Book Club is Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 7 PM in the Lower Hall. The book selection is The Shack by Wm. Paul Young. As usual, Barbara Turner will have a sign-up sheet in the Narthex and will get books for those who wish to read the book. Everyone, St. David's and beyond, are invited to join in the discussion on March 26. The Shack (Windblown Media, 2007) relates a story of extreme loss in the context of Christianity. Mackenzie Allen Philips is a man whose life is broken when his daughter is kidnapped and possibly killed by a brutal serial killer. In the years following her disappearance, Mack falls into a period of The Great Sadness. On a snowy day, Mack finds a letter seemingly from God directing him to return to the same shack where his daughter was likely killed. Though torn by what to do, Mack cautiously returns to the scene of the crime. The unbelievable discovery will challenge and change him in more ways than one.
