Rejected...
I wrote to you-know-who and got yet another unclear reply....I don't know what
to think anymore... Yeah, I know it's been almost a month since I've updated,
but a lot had been on my mind, and I've been busy with band practice, work,
giving lessons, homework. I mean I'm barely ever home, which is where I type
all this...on my home computer using DW. Anther reason that I haven't updated
my blog is that I was waiting for something to happen, so that I could write
about it, Know what I mean? But I was too chicken and couldn't ask...So I finally
wrote a note, but I still never asked. Hopefully tomorrow I'll actually be able
to do it.
I hope this doesn't mean what I think it does...the title of this entry...but
I think I have to face it. Oh well, you can't make people like you no matter
how much you try.
In other news...
Didn't go to NMU last month because of gas… thought the hurricane was
going to make prices skyrocket...but they didn't...only went up to $2.999 (I
hate that stupid 9/10 of a penny bullshit…why not just say $3, it's what
you pay when you get 1 gallon anyway!)
Graduation pics are online....
Go to www.freemansphotography.net and then to the galleries....username: lincolnquick
password: 2006. Some are really bad...but I'm going to get them touched up (like
that zit on my face).
Amanda's really sick I guess...one day after a really stressful band practice
she just passed out. She went to the hospital and hooked her up t a bunch of
computers....she can't drive for a while and is missing a lot of school. I hope
she gets better soon, and some how manages to get her homework done that she's
missed. She going to have to make up over two weeks worth of work...and then
in November has to miss more school because of her knee surgery. Reminder: she
still owes me $79!
This past Saturday (October 8 I think) was the Iron Mountain-Kingsford game...we
actually won! 31-21. Anyway, who cares about football...the band did great!
Check out the kingsford web site, then go to the music department --> band,
and Mr. Sherk said he uploaded a lot of pictures. Friday night before that we
had a bonfire and the pep band played...we played almost every song we had...plus
our half-time show music while we were bundled up and looking at flip-folder
music with flashlights standing next to the fire. It was really fun...a very
informal, voluntary gathering of, well, band geeks. There were a few pep talks
from some football players. After that we went tp-ing. Cops were EVERYWHERE
and practically raped us. A Kingsford cop pulled a u-ie behind me and was stalking
me (I was driving with some friends...can't say who...to protect them...lol...).
We got Casey and Jimmy's house...Crystal's house...and random IM houses. Major
fun...but if we were caught...there some serious fines…I heard $75 a roll...even
if it's just in your car; you don't need to be caught in the act, and we had
a 24 pack! ouch!
Kiersten's starting a home-made movie...a spoof on Spaceballs, Monty Python and th HG, and Romeo and Juliet...I'm a gay Romeo...who falls for his best friend instead of Juliet...hehe it's gonna be really fun. Right now she's just finished casting and is working on the costumes. I can't wait!
That's all I can think of now...Peace!

Mano en Mano...
Yeah, I haven't written for a while, but I have my reasons... Busy week, and
I was waiting for something of true importance to write about. Let's see, he
still doesn't know what I was trying to tell him...grrr... I went to Homecoming
with Kiersten (pictures soon), bought the entire series of QaF and I have been
watching it in all my free time. When I'm not doing that, I'm giving trombone
lessons, working, or at the gym...so no time to write!
After Homecoming, I spent the night at Heather's. ...grrr.. los dos "novios"
estaban muy cercos....no lo entiendo. Anyway, Homecoming with Kiersten was fun,
but it was VERY hot in the gym...I was really sweating, and so was almost everyone
else. That was my last Homecoming....I also asked Kiersten to Prom...
Either tomorrow night or really early Saturday morning Dad, Danette, Bri, and
I are going to Michigan Tech's open house. Last week I was accepted to Tech.
The weekend after next I'm going with Megan to NMU for their Homecoming (Megan's
sister Kate goes there). We're driving there Friday right after school, and
I'll drive back Saturday night...I have to work on Sunday...and Megan'll stay
through Sunday. (Sorry, Megan....I heart U!)
Senior Pictures....October 15th?

Lo hice
I asked, but what will the big reply be? I'll have to wait till tomorrow.
Other news: going to give Trombone lessons. I've called two kids, one in 7th
grade, and one in 6th. I've already set up our first practice with one of them,
tomorrow after school. I'll probably help Mrs. Nowak and Mrs. Holmes with band
uniforms as well (I need community service hours...10 hours per semester for
National Honor Society, 40 hours to get the MEAP Merit Award, and 100 or 200
to get the Medallion).
[New Old Favorite Song: Latin Simone, Gorillaz - Gorillaz].
More randomness: I just had the guidance office send my transcript to Michigan
Tech...again...hopefully I'll find out if I'm accepted in a week or so. I'm
also highly anticipating my replacement phone (which should be here by now!)
and my QaF series! I ordered that August 29 and takes 7-21 business days...that's
a big range! I'm hoping it'll be here on the 7-day-side...which would be tomorrow!
Can't wait! PARTY!
Spirit Week
Homecoming Theme: Walt Disney
Tuesday: Class Color Day (Seniors: black)
Wednesday: Prince/Princess Day
Thursday: Favorite Disney Character
Friday: Maize and Blue
Saturday: The Dance
I'm so excited.

Updates?
Well, it's been a while since I've updated. New news? Nope. Not much new. At
work, John O. just started. He hates it. But, really, does anyone like work?
I've got to be the only one! (This could be due to the fact that the entire
time I'm there I'm always moving and grooving, dancing and romancing, play-flirting
with Megan, or teasing the other girls, hehehe). Fun fun.
I haven't written since school started, but not much has happened...except the
deer. On my way to school the very first day I hit a deer. It just hit the driver-side
headlight with its butt, crunched the hood around the headlight and completely
demolished the fixture and everything around it. Finally, today my dad looked
at it and said, "well, you're fucked." So, with all that's wrong with
my car on top of a broken headlight (I've already gotten pulled over by a Kingsford
cop), I'm better off just getting a new car than fixing everything. We looked
at another Neon, looks like a '97, a year older than mine, in better shape except
for a few minor spots of missing paint, but we're interested in the parts than
anything else. Don't know if it's still for sale, though.... $700, maybe? (Bad
alternator...rust...crunch in front bumper, but I have a good bumper and trunk
lid where the rust is.)
On Saturday, September 17, the family, Amanda, and I are going to Michigan Tech's
Open House all day.
I've updated the School section, added the panorama picture (some people got
cut off..it doesn't fit in my scanner) to the Pictures - Mexico section, and
evidently, the Blog section.
Peace!

Ya No Lo Aguanto....
Uploaded some IM Prom Pictures that I scanned in. Sorry there's not a lot, but
I didn't take any and Megan only has a few herself. Eventually I plan on scanning
in our professional prom pictures from both IM and Kingsford as well as a panoramic
picture taken in Mexico at Chapultepec.
Mood: Disappointed. That one favor I asked Amanda...she did it...but not with
the results that I had been hoping for. But before I give up completely, tomorrow
I'll ask for myself and not have someone else do it for me. I need to know for
certain.
It's funny how one's mood can change so suddenly. On my way home from work I
was so excited and pumped about what I had expected to happen tomorrow. I even
thought about writing a little blog saying how I wish I could just close my
eyes and then open them but not be sitting at the computer desk, but be at practice
tomorrow afternoon, anticipating the very moment I had been hoping to become
a reality for nearly a year. One call to Amanda changed all that. She confirmed
it: "No."
Now I wish I could just be as happy as I was an hour ago... I never should have
called her.
Good night.

Loco
Well, it looks like I'm not in trouble for not having my music memorized. Only
four people actually do, including of course Casey and Crystal. What nerds.
I love 'em.
Today at work Megan gave me some of the IM Prom pictures, but I left them there.
Hopefully I'll remember tomorrow night so I can scan upload them. As you can
see, I already set up the new pictures page, but without the pictures. Stupid.
Stupid! How can I forget them? grr I always forget crap at work...
Band practice was really fun today; I was expecting it to be pretty scary and
expecting to get yelled at. The end wasn't as fun, marching on the field, doing
seemingly-pointless drills while Mr. Sherk was reminding us of their significance,
which I didn't get. Amanda and I quarreled a bit on the field. She must have
just been in a mood. I love her to pieces, but sometimes she can get on my nerves.
I blew right back at her. What she said was completely unnecessary and very
rude. I was helping a freshman find his position, a fellow trombone player who
happened to be in her squad, when she yelled at me, "Why don't you just
take him and put him in your squad then!" in that snotty tone we all love.
Sheesh, I was just trying to help, and she obviously wasn't at the time....
I do feel guilty, though.
After practice I went to KFC, had fun messing around, even though it was busy.
When no customers were around I'd just run up to Megan and tickle her just because.
But at the end of night when Amanda's name was mentioned, she freaked out and
got all mad at me, fortunately she can keep her composure and didn't start screaming
or throwing things at me like Amanda would if she was in a bad temper. I could
still sense that something was troubling her by the tone of her voice. She also
got upset when I mentioned Brad (a co-worker at KFC that Megan's dating...senior
IM HS, football team...). The last thing that I want to do is make anyone upset.
I was just joking around. I know that Amanda is Megan's favorite person in the
world, but she shouldn't get upset whenever her name is mentioned.
Girls' emotions sure are weird. I guess the stress doesn't help much...I won't
discuss that here, very private matters between several different parties, but
I can tell you that everyone's pretty stressed out.
So tomorrow, if I have time, I'll upload those IM prom pictures, take some pictures
at tomorrow's band practice and upload them, get my school schedule, maybe write
some more, and add something extra to the site...Until then,
Peace!

Un Parté y una Búsqueda
Last Wednesday was Jimmy and Casey's 17th birthday party. That was a very eventful
and fun day. Even with all of the angsty moments and typical teenage drama *oh
yes, the drama*. Before I went to the party Amanda and I did some very last
minute gift shopping. However, as per the tradition, we had to get ourselves
a gift as a reward for being so kind. Mine wasn't really the typical kind of
gift (usually we just be chocolates). Amanda's gift to herself was still normal-
another purse. I really shouldn't discuss mine, at least en inglés. Pues,
aquel día encontré un chico quien estaba en Wal-Mart también,
pero, cuando los ojos se vieron, fue un conección. ¡Ay! Lo seguí
por la tienda por no menos de una hora. Y él lo sabía. Later I
had to leave, but when we got back to the car, Amanda realized that she forgot
to pick up her prescriptions inside. She sent her sister, Bianca, to go get
them and I went back inside with her. I had one more opportunity, but I chickened
out. However, lo sabe que me gusta...lol Better luck next time... BTW, él
habla un poquito de español también. :)
In other news....parté a la casa de Amanda anoche....ay ay ay.... fun,
but some people broke the rules....there will be hell to pay.... Band practice
starts tomorrow...still don't have my music memorized.
Here's the agenda for this week:
Mon-Thurs, Aug 22-25
09:00 - 10:30 Squad Leader Meeting for Band
10:30 - 12:30 Gym - cardio/weight-lifting w/Amanda
01:00 - 03:45 Full Band Practice, music and drills on field and in class
04:00 - 09:30 Work
Friday, Aug 26
Home Football Game at 6:30 - solo in King Herod's Song
Our music arrangements this year are recycled from a few years ago, from the
Best of Andrew Lloyd Webber. The songs include Phantom of the Opera, The Jellicle
Ball, King Herod's Song, and Masquerade (replacing You Must Love Me/Don't Cry
for Me Argentina).
What Fun.

Palabras de Poder y Saber
I've just started this site, which right not is just serving as a place to hold
some of my pictures. The only problem is space. Right now my server is GeoCities
and they only give you 15 MB, so the majority of the pictures will only be thumbnails
until I can get more space. So if you would like me to upload any specific picture
just e-mail me and I'll get it up as soon as I can.
This site is going to be hard to update between work right now, but after school
starts I should be able to manage it much easier (I also need to get more pictures,
and maybe some video clips).
On to the real blogging... Band practice is starting next week on Monday. So
not prepared. I really haven't looked at the music since the Fourth of July.
But that's mainly because I didn't have my music. Now I do. No excuse there,
just lazy. Man, Sherk is going to kill me...and I haven't looked at any of the
Jazz Music...
...
Some people just need to watch what they say. Sometimes they can hurt feelings,
or get themselves in a shit-load of trouble. Don't brag about things you should
be doing when there are plenty of people that will find out and tell your parents--
or the police. Second, don't try to mess with others' emotions. If they say
something that unintentionally hurts you, don't try to out-do them be putting
them down. Watch what you say. That's all.
Peace!
