G-Tech Timeslips - As of 3/25/98
Ok,
I took delivery on my G-Tech Pro
accelerometer on 3/25, and had to run right out to test it. It's very easy
to calibrate - I was literally off and running in under a minute. For the
quarter mile time, you just input the weight of your vehicle, with you
in it - push a button to set the weight to memory, and the G-Tech will
display -GO-. Can ya guess what you do next? :-)
1/4 Mile Runs on 3/25
-
13.52@108.4 - Had to
lift early because of traffic ahead.
-
13.29@109.5 -
Great run! Still think I can do better though.
-
13.66@109.0 - Poor traction
off the line. Better luck next time.
0-60mph Runs on 3/25
-
4.81 seconds
- The GSCs hooked great!! Left it in 2nd the entire run.
-
5.7 seconds - Traction
problems! Just spun & spun this time. In OD.
-
5.35 seconds - Tried
manually shifting from 1st to 2nd. Didn't work well.
These runs were made on the stock 245/50/ZR16
Goodyear Eagle GSC tires, with the car (including myself and fuel) weighing
in at 3,760 pounds (BTW, it's an A4 tranny). Dry roads (obviously), with
temps in the upper 60s, and low humidity. Great days! Also, this was all
before my SLP Y-Pipe & Random Tech. cat' went on. Hopefully I'll run
lower times now!! :)
