says :- During the recent
foot and mouth disaster this responsible organisation cancelled it's planned
demonstration in London, which would have been the largest demonstration
ever to have taken
place in the capital.
Thats what you call responsible behaviour. Take note Mr Blair and Co. That's
what you call
support and good organisation as well, not like your party politics over
foot and mouth and the
destruction of farmers lives.
The Countryside Alliance were the organisation that held a demonstration
of thousands in
London and when they had finished there wasn’t a scrap of paper to pick
up.---Now there’s
a refreshing change.
Strikes us if you want to know about the countryside ask the people who
work in it and live there
365 days a year.
Gun
Control
A superb report
from the Countryside Alliance has shown how the irresponsible gun control
bill has been working since the Dunblane massacre. Rushed through parliament
by the panicked Major government this arcane piece of legislation deprived
law abiding people of their legitimate hobby of target shooting and forced
our international shooters to travel abroad to practice.
Since Dunblane armed crime involving firearms has risen by 50%. So much for the former man of straw and his successors claim to be keeping arms out of the hands of criminals.
Here in Nottingham we are one of only two places in the country where the police are regularly armed because of the prevalence of guns in the hands of criminals. Are the police in this politically correct county any good at catching the perpetrators of this crime, NO they would sooner hand out speeding tickets.
Of course there are
some places in the UK where you can still hold firearms, Ulster, the Channel
Islands and the Isle of Man. Thats what we like about the Blair regime,
such consistency.
Hunting Bill
to criminalise the countryside
Masters of fox hounds and hunts, kennel owners and followers are set to become the countryside's new criminal class if Labours hunting bill goes through unscathed. This follows closely on the heels of the infamous outlawing of the legal ownership of pistols by individuals on the spurious grounds of, ‘keeping guns out of the hands of criminals’. As usual with this government their pronouncements have little basis in fact and much in hype. Strange isn't it that since the banning of gun ownership armed crime has gone up. We seem to recall that some years ago we were told that if you give free contraceptives to under 16 year olds illegitimate births would fall in fact the reverse has happened, oh your surprised are you!
Anyway back to the main point. If you keep
hounds the nanny state will fine you £5000 but they won’t send you
to prison. It seems Mr Blair does not want to many martyrs in prison.
In order to please their bleeding heart
fans they aim to get it on the statute book before an election to keep
the money rolling in.
By the way if you don’t pay the fine they can imprison you for contempt of court etc. that way you won’t be a martyr apparently------see you in Lincoln prison lads, bye for now.
No compensation for hunts or employees involved in hunting
As you would expect the vindictive and intolerant anti-hunt lobby in the government do not want any compensation for those whose livelihoods will be destroyed by this attack on personal liberty.
Over 8,000 people are likely to be affected, but unlike the law abiding gun owners who were compensated, after having to surrender they’re weapons, (in a silly attempt to cut armed crime and make the streets safer, armed crime has gone up by the way), hunts will not be compensated. It seems that the only listening this lot understand is when you do have a gun in your hand, as in Northern Ireland.
Massive display of hunt support
Self righteous M.Ps need to take a long hard look at todays massive turn out in support of liberty and the right to exercise control over our own lives. This is not the end it is simply the beginning. God speed and good luck to all country folk.
Fishing - Now the target of antis
Well, well, well as if it's a surprise. Fishing is now to be the target of the anti hunt / gun control / control freaks in our society. Oh no they said we dont want to ban fishing. Now PETA the American group for the "ethical" treatment of animals wants to target Britain for a ban on angling, Britains biggest participatory sport. Here we have a bunch of radicals who now are taking on fishermen whose reaction is likely to be somewhat irritated, to put it mildly. First the foxes now the fish.
Don't say we didn't
warn you, what next the book burning and the thinking of impure thoughts,
the seeds of dictatorship are not to far distant. Start writing your public
confessions.
BLAIR GOVERNMENT DECLARES WAR ON THE COUNTRYSIDE
Recognise
this guy, yes its the ever popular Elliot Morley the public face
of Mr Blairs disasterous farm policy. Mr Morley now concedes foot and mouth
may well be with us for some time to come. What happened to all the promises
before the election Elliot?
You wait all year for an enquiry
then 3 come along at once
You know as well as we do what the conclusions
of the Blair regimes enquiry into foot and mouth will be,
a) It was a tragedy waiting to happen.
b) Lessons must be learned.
c) We must allocate more resources, (accompanied
by crocodile tears and a euro document, or talks).
Farmers and others were on the verge of open warfare with the government as the Blair regime announced plans to cut compensation to farmers hit by foot and mouth. As the "hit" to Britains economy rises to £7.7 billion for tourism alone, Britains farmers have effectively been stopped from re-stocking their farms until they can be disinfected. So much for the "Blair Concern" over the countryside plight. This destruction, not only of animals but the livelihoods and culture of generations serves Mr Blair and his europhile acolytes well as the French and other European farmers take advantage of our problems.
To add insult to injury this caring government, through it's spin doctors, put out the story and kept it running via their mouth pieces that farmers were deliberately infecting their farms with foot and mouth. How bloody callous can you get.
It's the country people who are capable of solving this mess not that lot in whitehall. If they had not closed all the abattoirs to aid the C.A.P. and comply with Brussels europrats a lot of this mess would not have happened.
Were coming back to this subject later till then keep fighting, the party's just beginning.
Remember this foot and mouth debacle lies squarely at the door of Mr Blair, and it serves his purpose well in destroying a cornerstone of British culture and society.
Had vaccination been carried out as an emergency measure the cost would only have been about £200 million, as it is not only is there the financial cost, but the destroyed lives of a generation. Thank you Mr Blair.
So despite all the hype, free drink and food in the Hague, another busman's
holiday on controlling the climate ends in another waste of money for the
taxpayers of the world.
As we all know now the big boys from America live in the real world.
If the Europrats can’t put this together what chance a Euro-army.
Facts
15,000
years ago there was more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere than there is
now. Perhaps they had
petrol powered Neanderthals.
In Roman times the temperature was so much warmer in England they needed
no winter fuel bonus and
grew
grape vines in the open as far north as York.
When a volcano erupts , (and this is just one volcano), it throws out enough
garbage to affect the atmosphere
for several years , negates all our efforts at reducing noxious gases to
such an infinitesimally small value we
might as well not bother.
Most
climate control measures are a waste of time because they are “stealth
taxes” aimed at increasing tax
revenues
for the government and not designed to combat pollution, which is
a different animal altogether.
Pollution
reduction requires no increase in taxation, and we shall be detailing why
not in the future.
If you
take all the motor vehicles in the world, they contribute less than 1%,
yes thats right, less than 1% to
carbon
dioxide and pollution in the atmosphere.
The reason
Mr Blair, Prescott and others don’t like motor cars is that it encourages
individuality and
independence.
That's alien to their philosophy.
They love
to be seen to be, ‘doing something for the poor’, or ‘protecting the environment
for our children’.
How
patronising.
