Dear Franz:

Words alone express my gratitude for your
message dated 8/27/99 entitled
Part I. General Focus. It's expressed by
feelings deep inside my mind
and soul.  I make the time to send you messages
because the material in the
franzjutta.com and Pandemonium Crew sites,
especially the Franz-Khalid
debates, are the most thought provoking and
intellectually stimulating
stuff that I have seen in recent years.

Yes, as you and George pointed out, I am a
"warrior." The warrior spirit
is in my blood. I make the time to ask
questions and raise hell because
I feel that there's no alternative. Unless
there is an emancipatory
future, there is no future. I hope that my
warrior spirit will influence
others in the Pandemoneum Crew.

I am influenced by the late singer and
Renaissance man: Paul Robeson
who, in his version of "Old Man River,"
substituted the lyrics: "I must
keep fighting until I'm dying..." My two
favorite songs sung by Paul
Robeson are the spiritual "Every time I feel
the spirit..." and "Die Moorsoldaten."
I knew Paul Robeson and his son
Paul Robeson Jr. who
married my second cousin. I have an extensive
collection of his voice
(international folk songs, spirituals, songs of
protest, etc.). I'm referring to Paul Robeson's voice on
audiotapes, CD's and LP's.

I look forward to your answers and additional
comments in Part II.

Have a great weekend.
Carl
