Bergen Machine and Tools - Intrepid Gas

This is the newest and largest addition to my fleet. With a Zenoah G23 weedwhacker engine, it weights over 13 pounds dry. Many people would not believe such a heavy toy would fly, let alone doing aerobatics.

The biggest difference between this and my other helis is the fuel it uses. While other helicopters uses nitromethane mixes which costs up to $25 a gallon, this helicopter runs on regular gasoline which can be bought at local gas pumps for $1.25 a gallon. On top of that, the Zenoah gas engine is extremely fuel efficient. The helicopter can fly for over 30 minutes on one tank of gas.

The construction of this heli is very similar to that of the XCell, with the exception of all machined alunimum head and G10 fiberglass side frame. Bergen started out making quality upgrade parts for XCell, therefore alot of the head design was taken directly from the XCell. Co-designed by national champion Mr. Gary Wright, the control mechanism is cleverly engineered, with redundant ball-bearinged push/pull system throughout, which result in no binding even at full cyclic deflection. Along with the neat servo layout and engine placement, this heli is quickly climbing to the top of modeler's wish list.
