Funguy transforms into a mushroom man as he eats the mushroom our heroes give him. Funguy will join hoping that the Frozen Flame will be able to get him back in his human form.
Recruitment
There will be two different ways to recruit Funguy depending on wheter if you have covered the hole to stop the bugs from diving in the water earlier in the game or not.
If you have covered the hole
You should see a bug nearby. Find it and chase it into the small hole you will see further down.

If you have not covered the hole
Attack the Wraith near the hole and save the boy.

You will receive a special mushroom as your reward. Now go to the Shadow Forest and go under the waterfall. Give it to the man there and watch him turn into a mushroom man
