Email..

Want to have you computer Automatically check your email on hardy? Well today is your lucky day because you can!
Follow the following steps for win 95....

1. Download the following programs and install

SaberQuest Mail Spy version 1.0.0 at http://www.saberquest.com There are heaps of other programs avaliable if you look around that you could use.

Netterm at http://tucows.cableinet.net/files/nt32421.exe

2. Creating Login Script

• There should be a text document 'Unix.txt' in the netterm folder containing something similar to the following. What you need to do is replace username with you user name and password with you password. This is what I have, the extra stuff is to make it go right to the new mail.

3. Setting up email notification.

• Open Mail Spy, select properties by right clicking on the icon in the tool box. Enter in you details for your user name and password and host (hardy.ocs.mq.edu.au) and pop3 110.
• For notification browse for the Application which is neterm, you will have to edit the launch name to something like this with your own path name.

"C:\Program Files\NETTERM\NETTERM.EXE" hardy.ocs.mq.edu.au

• Check the apporpriate boxes
• Exit properties

4. Setting up netterm

• right click on the mailspy tool bar icon and select lauch application. (If the last step was completed correctly then neterm should run..
• Go to the phone directory in the file menu
• Ensure the following settings

  Account name:	Hardy.ocs.mq.edu.au
  Telnet port:	23
  Emmulation:	ANSI
  Connection:	TCPIP
  Keys :	Default

• Click on the 'select login script' button.
• 'select' the login script that you have made in step 2

5. Use it..

Exit out and try running the program through mail spy and if all goes to plan then you will find your mail opened in front of you.. !
