Pecari kid in the grade below mine, and also a buddy of Jake's from back where they live. Was on the Quidditch team, but apparently had to stop playing because of some health issue. That's gotta suck.


Aladren
 
 
Aladren is where the smart people like Zack and Ty and Zoey (and for some reason Pink Girl) are. I don't know where their common room is though. We're not supposed to go into other common rooms anyhow.


Alumni
 
 
 
 
There was a feast in the middle of second year - right before the Christmas holidays - and all the Alumni were invited. Some of them were nice - Ash and Sorrel's Mom was there, but there was also a nasty old guy who hit my new friend Gwennie and a lady in a wheelchair who kept on bossing Cackling Dude about. The wheelchair lady was awesome, but don't let her know I said that because I'm not sure I'd do any better than Cackling Dude if I came up against her.

The school Coach. She was a professional player - a Beater - on the Florida Heliopaths, but had to stop playing because her bludgers seemed to end up in the press box more often than in the way of opposing players. That's what Geoff S. said, anyhow. Even if I didn't like Quidditch so much, she'd be reason enough to hang out around the pitch. I mean - and don't let Mia know I said this - but she's pretty fit, if you know what I mean.


Ancient Runes
 
Elective class (which means third years and up) that started this year, with Professor Powell. It's only a small class, and sadly doesn't appear to have a woodwork aspect to it. Yet, anyhow.


Angry girl
 
First year Pecari. Note to self: does not like being woken up early. Oh, and she made Chaser for the house team this year. On the field she's fast getting a reputation as being a bludger magnet.


Anne Captain of the Aladren Quidditch team, plays in the position of Chaser.

Is a Clabbert who lives out in the Labyrinth Gardens and was in our third year Care of Magical Creatures lesson. He is very shy, and it's very unlikely that we'd ever find him, which is sad as I'd like to see what happens when you poke that thing on his forehead. Although I'm not supposed to do that anyhow.


Ash Ash is my room mate, friend and twin brother to my best friend, Sorrel. He's been a bit moody on and off lately - I'd ask him if that was his girly name giving him pms, but I'm not quite that stupid - but lately I don't really blame him. Seriously, what does Sorrel see in a geriatric boyfriend anyhow? But this is about Ash. He and his sister used to play this game called Broom Jousting, which is a bit like Shunt Bumps, but not quite. Oh, and he's got it bad for Lizzy, but won't admit it. Which is stupid. Seriously, Lizzy is worth looking at. Dunno why he's so worried about saying he likes her.


Asher Gung ho (according to what I've heard) Crotalus sister of Mike.


Astronomy The old Astronomy Professor left last year, and we got this new guy instead. Professor Deck. Anyhow, it's one one of the subjects they teach here. It's all about planets and stars and stuff. I'm not sure what it's got to do with magic, but I figure they'll get to that bit eventually.

B


Beater A position in the game of Quidditch. Ash and Sorrel really love playing this position as their actual job is to hit one of the two balls called bludgers at the other players. Lexi is queen of the spot at the moment though, she absolutely wiped the floor with Angry girl and Lizzy in the championship game. Sorrel and Ash... well, you gotta wonder where they were.


Bella Jake's sister. She's in Aladren and played Beater for their team, but she's stopped playing now. In her spare time, she apparently tortures musical instruments. Kidding. I've never actually heard her, and the complaints seem to have dried up. Maybe she's good?


Ben A Chaser on the Aladren team. His twin sister, Lexi, is on the Teppenpaw team.


Blizzard A blizzard came after Christmas in second year. It got really, really cold. The waterfalls in the Cascade Hall were frozen over, and there was stacks of snow - so much we Pecari couldn't get into our common room by the entrance and I think we got Connell annoyed by constantly trekking through her office. It was kind of a downer though, being snowed in at school. You don't get snow days at boarding school.


Bludger A type of ball from the game of Quidditch which seem to be magnetically attracted to Pecari Chasers. Lexi's weapon of choice.


Bones Bones was Zack's Broom. He's a bit slow, which is why Zack called him that I think, and also, come to think of it, why Zack must have replaced him.


Books There are heaps of these in the Library, and probably in Aladren as well, but I don't know for sure. The Professors used to want you to read whole chapters from them for classes. Now they seem to expect us to read even more!


Briony I'm pretty sure I heard that she's the old Dragon's daughter. Don't think we've crossed paths though. I'm sure I'd have remembered. Must be weird to have her Dad around all the year round, when the rest of us don't see our parents for months on end.


Broom Jousting This is something that the Craven twins Ash and Sorrel do. Sorrel promised to show me, but never seems to have gotten around to doing that. Apparently - so I've been told - it's not the same as 'Shunt Bumps', whatever that is. I don't think they'll ever get around to the showing though, they seem to have given up on it themselves.


Brooms At Sonora we get to fly on brooms. It's really cool because you get to go really high and it's kinda like riding a motorbike, except that it isn't as loud and you don't have to mostly stay on the ground. I named my broom Fido and my friend Zack called his Bones when we were ickle firsties. He has a new broom now, called Enterprise. I don't think anyone else named their brooms, but I don't know why. Fido is the most awesome broom of all.


Bulla Was the Deputy Headmaster, Charms Professor and Teppenpaw Head of House. Is now the Headmaster. He's alright, so long as you remember to call him 'Professor' or 'Headmaster', but could still do with some loosening up. He's pretty nifty with the Charms too. He used them to save Sorrel and Ash during the Duststorm in second year, and to get the weather Charms back working. He even used to write Charms Textbooks. Don't know if he's still doing that these days though. He's doing alright as Headmaster, but... it's a bit different without Marnett around. Less batty.

C


Cackling Dude Is the coolest adult ever. He looks after the grounds at the school and he has these Prairie Elves who do anything he tells them to. I think his real name is Simon or something like that. Second year he was a bit busy with all the problems that kept cropping up with the weather. Also I hear Saul is his cousin.


Care of Magical Creatures Is a class we have here. Professor Couldyouski shows us all sorts of different magical animals in this class, like Crups, Clabberts, Kneazles, Flobberworms and others.


Cascade Hall Is where we get food. It's full of all these waterfalls which is pretty awesome considering we're in the middle of a desert. They also have the start and end of year feasts there. Second year it was even cooler than before because the waterfalls froze during the Christmas holidays. They thawed out when the weather problems came to their last stage. Also, and.... possibly shouldn't advertise this, but if you don't mind getting wet, and can get in there when no one is paying attention, there's just about enough room behind one of the waterfalls for you and your girl to ... well, have a cozy bit of "quality time".


Catherine Raines A Crotalus in the grade below me. I sat next to her in Transfig in third year (because she sat next to my green desk, proof that she has good taste), and she's pretty good looking, for a kid. Dunno why she'd want to hide behind her hair.


Cats There is a grey cat in the Library. He is not very friendly and his name is Oscar. Kneazles aren't cats, despite looking like them. Mia's got a cat called Silk, and... I'm pretty sure I've heard of at least one more cat around. Can't remember where though.


Charms Is another class. It was taught by Bulla, but now that he's moved up from Deputy Headmaster to Headmaster, well, we're supposed to get a new Professor next year. In Charms we get to do stuff with our wands there, like cong um... Conjuring water and, more boringly, cleaning charms. Hopefully it'll be more interesting in the next year.


Chaser Is a position in the game of Quidditch. These people use the Quaffle to score goals worth ten points. Two of the three Pecari Chasers got taken out in the Championship game this year. And both by the same Beater, Lexi. And we lost, despite the Teppenpaw Chasers being lousy and not giving me anything to do.


Chris Was the Aladren team Keeper last year, but lost out to not only a First year this year, but a girl too. That's got to hurt. I don't know much else about him except that he's often around Kaylie.


Chrissy Girl in my grade from Crotalus. She's good friends with Tal, and a Chaser on her house Quidditch team.


Clabbert Art is one of these frogkey things. They have big knob things that Couldyouski calls 'pustules' in the middle of their foreheads, are shy and I'm not allowed to poke them. And no, I wasn't told why.


Coach Teaches us about flying and Quidditch. In times past we have had Coach Cooper (Someone told me she has a kid who was at the school over the Christmas holidays in first year, but I wasn't here then because I went home to get my motorbike from Alan so didn't get to see. It's red and loud and really, really cool, but it's a bit wreaked now. I had this massive crash during the summer holidays when I was to make this awesome jump), then Coach Feran (who came in second year and had a limp, but Quidditch was cancelled anyhow 'cause of the weather and then she just left) and now we've got Coach Fox, who is a fox.


Connell Professor who teaches Potions and is the Pecari Head of House. She's a bit strange, and Ash and Sorrel really don't like her for some reason. She got really annoyed at us having to walk through her office all the time in second year because we couldn't use the usual Pecari entrance that I'm not going to tell you about.


Connor Is in the grade below me. He seems to hang out with Gwennie a lot, despite him being Muggleborn and her being from a nasty Pureblood family. He signed up for Quidditch (with a little help) before it got cancelled in second year, but he's been quiet lately.


Corridors I like the Corridors. You run at the girl's corridor, and if you are a guy you end up falling into the middle of the common room. I call this the Corridor Ride, and it's one of my favourite things to do when I'm in the common room. Lizzy gave it a go, and it happened to her too, but I'm not sure that is normal. Sorrel spent a lot of time in first year moaning about wanting to get into the boys side (she said she wanted to put something in Ash's bed)... and then in second year she managed it. I'm kinda hoping that she won't be getting through too much anymore now though. I mean, there are times when a guy needs some... guy time. To do guy things like... er... plan the demise of certain geriatrics. And Sorrel walking in on that wouldn't be good.


Couldyouski Professor Couldyouski is the Aladren Head of House and teaches Care of Magical Creatures. I call her 'Profski' sometimes for short, and a lot of the others call her 'Professor K'. She's kinda cool... but she took Rover away from me. Oh, and since Bulla became Headmaster she's been promoted to Deputy Headmistress.


Crotalus Is where people from the real important magical backgrounds seem to go. At least that's what they seem to say. There was one of the Alumni who came to the Alumni event in second year - who was apparently a Crotali when he was here - and he was pretty nasty to his daughter, Gwennie... I hope that's not what they're really about.


Crups Rover is a crup. They look like dogs, and they act like dogs, but they aren't dogs. Everyone needs to remember that. And they don't have tails, so they can't even do things like wag their tails when they're happy... poor little guys.

Dalila A Chaser on the Teppenpaw house team. I think she had someone come to the Alumni thing in second year too.


Deck The new Astronomy Professor, and he's taken over Bulla's spot as Teppenpaw Head of House. Seems a pretty cool teacher.


Defence Against the Dark Arts Another class they teach here. It was taught by Zephyrflame who gave us the warning about the Knife-Wielding Maniac in first year. He disappeared second year after the Mudstorm and the Dragon started there in third year. In this class we learn how to cast spells that make people do things like dropping their wands and other spells like shields.


Dillon Was on the Teppenpaw Quidditch team, but dropped out in favour of Pepper who had been sharing his spot as Keeper in third year. His twin sister, Zoey, is a Chaser on the Aladren team.


Doc Was the last guy in the Infirmary. He had this other name, but it was long and weird. He could heal people real good, except you couldn't go testing the healed things straight away by getting up and jumping because they need a bit of time to work properly. Or something like that. I think had a fixation on Plant Dude's girlfriend, but as he's gone now, it doesn't really matter anymore. Wolfie's the medic now.


Dragon, The This guy knows how to make an entrance, and he knows how to use flowing robes to the coolest effect. It's a pity he's such a stick-in-the-mud. Seriously, he's like Jeeves with style. Oh and he teaches Defence Against the Dark Arts instead of Transfig, that's another difference. Some of the others say he might be a vampire, but they used to say that about the old Astronomy teacher too. That said, he does hide in the shadows pretty well...


Duststorm There was a duststorm at Sonora during a Care of Magical Creatures lesson in second year. It was really windy, and it stung, and Zack got hurt so I had to help him to the entrance of the school, and Ash and Sorrel got stuck out in there and had to be rescued by Couldyouski and Bulla. It ruined the No-Girls-Allowed Fort the first time. It was part of the crazy weather in second year.

Echo Crazy first year kid in Pecari. I heard he got the Dragon to oversee some kind of writing group. He hangs around with Elly a lot.


Eddy A Pecari in Saul's year. He was Chaser on the Quidditch team in third year (but wanted to be Seeker) and talks funny, but he's gone quiet.


Elly First year Pecari. Has the same initials as Echo, and hangs around with him and Mere and Angry girl.


Enterprise The broom Zack chose to replace Bones. He's a lot faster, and Zack caught the snitch in the Aladren versus Teppenpaw game last year when he was riding him. Wasn't so lucky this year.

Fido Is my broom. He's a really good boy 'cause be comes when I whistle and he stays when I tell him to (mostly) and I like him. Alan (my big brother) and Geoff S. helped me work out my plans to fix him up and ... he is totally the most awesome broom ever. And the only broom at Sonora with red racing stripes.


Flobberworms Are boring. I'm glad I was never stuck in a class studying them.


Flood There was a flood at the end of the Blizzard in second year. It's a good thing that Cackling Dude and his minions the Prairie Elves were there to stop it getting at us.


Florida Heliopaths The Quidditch team that the Foxy Coach Foxplayed Beater for before she got chucked out of the league.


Fox(y) See Amy "the foxy" Fox.

Geriatric All I know about him is that he's old, rides a lame bike that can't do tricks, bought Sorrel either her leather jacket or her boots of mass destruction (that bit is mixed up in my head), and... he's her boyfriend. Ash doesn't like him. Neither do I. I think it's sick.


Geoffrey L Another Aladren. He's a Beater on their Quidditch team, and I'm pretty sure he either knows or is related to Anne.


Geoffrey S Chaser on the Crotalus Quidditch team. He got a goal past me in his game versus Pecari, and he seems to know a lot about the game. He's also a fan of the foxy Quidditch Coach, but because of her having been a professional Quidditch player rather than for any other reason. Oh, and he's a total broom nerd, and I mean that in the best possible way. He gave me some suggestions for the alterations to Fido that really worked out well.


Gil Firstie Teppenpaw who plays Chaser on his house team.


Ginge Muggleborn two grades below me. The girl had a supply of coke and twinkies for the party I threw at the end of third year, which makes her a hero in my eyes. Oh, and she's the Pecari team's Seeker.


Grail Keeper for the Aladren team. Utterly no sense of self-preservation when it comes to attempting a save. I like that.


Günter Is an Aladren and kinda hard to miss because he's taller than I am, despite being two grades lower. That said, I'm growing. Not sure if I'll ever beat him though. He seems to like hanging around Zack a bit.


Gwennie Is in the year below mine, a member of Crotalus house, and plays Beater on their house team. Her Dad is a bit off - he hit her at the Alumni thing. I helped her out and took her to Charms. She's got a sister in Pecari now, but her sister seems a bit more standoffish. I prefer Gwennie.

Hall of Plants Is where Plant Dude and his Plant Dude's Girlfriend lived with lots and lots of other plants, but it's a bit quieter these days because he left when she did. It's near the Cascade Hall and apparently is where you go if you want to see Bulla these days. It died back a bit during the weather problems but it's looking back to normal now.

Infirmary Is where Wolfie works. It smells kind of like a hospital (and a little bit like ferret, because of Wolfie's pet Jarvey) and there are beds and curtains and a polished floor and odd looking Potions in bottles and other things. It got pretty badly smashed up in the Mudstorm in second year, but it's orderly again now. Like, fanatically orderly.

Jake Is in Teppenpaw. He's part Spanish, plays Quidditch and was the captain for the blue side in our game at the end of first year. He's the Teppenpaw Quidditch Captain these days, and is one of his team's Beater's. His team won the Championship game... but the Chasers sucked, because I didn't get to do anything all game.


Jarvey I want one.


Jeeves Would probably have preferred to have be known as Professor Reiner. Weird name, huh. And even weirder, I heard that his first name is 'Bastian'! Anyhow, he taught Transfiguration and I think he was friends with Bulla because they're both a bit boring, although at least Bulla doesn't wear tweed. And Jeeves didn't like green. I know because he got rid of most of my cool green ink. He disappeared at the same time as Zephyrflame. I guess he didn't like the weather. He probably wouldn't be in this now he's gone, except that my green desk is cool and needs to be mentioned in this.


Jenna H I heard that one of the little elf guys attacked her in the Library, but I reckon they were making it up as they're nice little guys. Still, it might explain why she disappeared for a bit. She's back now though; I'm fairly certain I saw her in Transfiguration while I was trying to chat Mia up before midterm.


Jenny Is a cono Has good taste. She ate the oatmeal that I fixed for her so that it wouldn't be all bland and boring. She's best buddies with Lizzy and Captain of the Crotalus Quidditch team but seems to have trouble with recruiting. I like that she trusted me enough to tell me about her problems in third year. Oh, and she's a Seeker.

Kaylie Teppenpaw girl in my year. She's her house Quidditch team's Seeker and caught the snitch in the championship game, which is the only reason they won. Their Chasers were lame and gave me nothing to do for the entire game, even after Lexi had taken out two of our Chasers.


Keeper Is a position in Quidditch. The best position, clearly, because it's the one that I play. What Keepers do is guard the goals to prevent the Chasers from scoring. It's loads of fun. And everyone knows that Keepers get the girls. Or boys, if the Keeper is a girl. And they want a boy... because if that WAIL thing is right, then they want a girl because they play Quidditch. Which is... potentially interesting but weird.


Kneazles There was one of these in Care of Magical Creatures in first year (and I heard that the firsties last year had one too). The professor was telling us about them. They make good hats, but only for short periods. They are not Cats just like Crups are not dogs.


Knife-Wielding Maniac Zephyrflame told us about him. Apparently he is somewhere in the school, just waiting to jump out at someone. I went on a hunt for him in first year, but all I found was Plant Dude and Doc. I figure if he was ever around he's left now. Sad. It would have been kinda cool to actually find him.

Labyrinth Gardens Is where Cackling Dude and his army are most likely to be found, and is also where Spy Guy communicates with remote Russian Satellites by sitting on Statues. Although that's still just a theory - I'm not sure that they can see through the barrier that is supposed to be around the school. There are paths and plants and statues and fountains and Bulla hung around there a lot before the weather got bad in second year and it was where the short-lived No-Girls-Allowed Fort was built, destroyed, rebuilt, destroyed again and then left. Ash and Sorrel have taken to having jogs around in it and I think I might have seen a tire swing around somewhere...


Lexi Don't let her mild Teppenpaw appearance deceive you. This girl is a manic with a bat and single-handedly took out two of Pecari's Chasers in the Championship game this year. Her twin brother is on the Aladren team, but no one really cares because it's not like he took out a third of a team. Seriously, if you see her with a bat and a bludger around, either get some serious shielding happening or run.


Library This is the place that Spy Guy uses as his cover for being here. It's also where you'll find books, Oscar, Zack's desk, and often Zack himself. And other Aladren's. And Professors. And sometimes people from other houses. You know, for a place with a quiet reputation, it's a pretty busy joint.


Lils Was a Crotalus team Chaser, but changed position to Beater this year. She's in my year but wasn't there for the first year because... I don't know really. She transferred from somewhere else. Antagonistic and unforgiving of the slightest, silliest things. Like, for example, Valentine's mistake in the Quidditch last year.


Lizzy Is another Pecari. Liz has cold blue eyes and wears Italian boots, although not when she's on the Quidditch pitch as one of our team Chasers. She's best friends with Jenny, and - whether they admit it or not - she and Ash totally have it bad for each other. And no, I'm not a girl or gay because I noticed. Alan told me some stuff, and it was kinda... obvious when you see them hanging around each other, so if Ash said anything he's crazy, ok? Geeze...

Marlowe The latest Transfig Professor. And - and this is big, so prepare yourself - it looks like she's broken the curse. First Transfiguration professor to make it through more than a year. She dresses better than boring old Jeeves and is easier on the eyes, so no complaints from here.


Marnett Was the Headmistress. She was really, really old. I only ever really saw her at the feasts, but the older students seemed to like her, even if they said she is was a scatterbrain. She had to go away just after Christmas in second year and left Bulla in charge, but then came back around midterm in third year with Plant Dude in tow. Zack had this crazy idea that she left because she was kidnapped by aliens. Zack is starting to get weird. Anyhow, she left again at midterm, and it doesn't look like she'll be back. Which leaves Bulla in charge.


Mere Firstie. Seems pretty friendly, and smart too. She knows how to take a hint.


Mia Hottest girl in school. She's short, has these brown eyes that are just... yeah. Oh, and she's my girlfriend. Sometimes I call her Princess, out of old habit, because that's what my best friend Sorrel and her brother Ash call her. She seems kinda shy at first, but I'm working on that. Slowly. Dark corner in Pecari Commons, by space under the Pecari Quidditch stands, by spaces behind the waterfalls. Did I mention she's hot?


Mike Kid in Pecari. He doesn't seem to do much except make paper airplanes. He has an older sister in Crotalus.


Morgaine Pecari and apparently little Gwennie's little sister.


Mudstorm The mudstorm happened after the Duststorm and before the Blizzard. There was thunder, lightning, and one heck of a lot of mud. And it trashed heaps of the school - particularly the Infirmary. Good thing they've got the weather back under control again these days.


Muggle Studies A new class at school. You have to be at least in third year to attend though. Taught by Williams.

No-Girls-Allowed Fort It started out so well. I found a cool secret place near this stream at the beginning of second year and me, Sorrel, Ash, and Zack built the fort there. But then the weather came and ruined everything. After the Duststorm it got mysteriously rebuilt, but after the Mudstorm, the Blizzard and the Flood it was a lost cause.

Paul First year Beater on the Aladren team.


Pecari The best of houses. I'm in Pecari, and so I know how to get into the common room, but I'm not telling you 'cause we're not supposed to. We won the House Point competition first year because all the teachers liked us and gave us points. I dunno who won second year as things got a bit confusing towards the end. Might have been Crotalus. We won again third year, and this year Crotalus got this close to beating us, but didn't quite manage it. We've also just finished our winning streak in the Quidditch. It wouldn't seem so bad if they'd given me the chance to actually defend my goals, but all the action was up the other end.


Pepper Teppenpaw's Keeper. Seems relatively popular amongst the firsties, despite being a second year. She's got a weird name, but there's something strangely familiar about it. Have I heard it somewhere before?


Pink Girl Is this girl from Aladren. OOC: She really likes pink, and threatening people with pink, and doing unspeakably sadistic things to innocent frogs and poor dogs. She is the Anti-Boy* and despite going quiet for a long time I've noticed her on the OOC again. Oh, and this entry is almost entirely about what she's like on the OOC because there she is my deadly enemy. BIC:


Plant Dude Lived in the Hall of Plants with his girlfriend. He was kinda like one of those plants that eat flies - I forget what they're called - only he's as big as I am, and he liked to trip people up and could talk - he sounded like he was from somewhere in New York. He left when Marnett left and came back when she did and then, like her, left again this year. I'm gonna miss him.


Plant Dude's Girlfriend One of the plants in the Hall of Plants. Doesn't appear to talk, despite Plant Dude's stories, and never really seemed as interested in him as he was in her. Poor guy. She's still there, despite him having left. Maybe he gave up finally.


Potions Is taught by Professor Connell, my head of house. In Potions, we learn how to mix all sorts of cool and strange things and get these... these... Potions! Connell seems to think that normal potions are boring though, and has ideas about Charms that would make Bulla blow a gasket.


Powell The Ancient Runes Professor. Knows her subject but... I'll see about writing more here next year when she's been around longer.


Prairie Elves Are little people who follow Cackling Dude around and call him 'Master' and 'Sir'. And they cook the food. They do a lot of stuff actually. Jenna H said that there was a nasty one but I've never seen an elf like that.


Princess See Mia.


Profski See Couldyouski.


Puffskien Fuzzy critters that the first years got to study in Care of Magical Creatures in third year.

Q


Quidditch Is the sport that they obsess over here in the Magical World. Well, that and another one they've mentioned called 'Quadpot' or something like that. It involves six hoops - three at each end - and four balls and fourteen players on Brooms. It's a pretty cool sport, even though you don't get to do any running around. Red Fox Is Spy Guy's contact. I stumbled across the information that he existed accidentally in first year when I was pretending to be a spy in the Library. Spy Guy is a spy. I mean, he even had this mysterious guy visit him in second year. I wasn't there, but I heard about it. I wonder if he was Red Fox, and they were taking advantage of my absence, because they knew I wouldn't be there to catch them. Upon investigation, there does not appear to be any connection between Red Fox and Coach Fox.


Rover Rover was my pet Crup. I took him from Care of Magical Creatures when Profski abandoned him after the Duststorm hit. Unfortunately, he didn't like my family much, so Mom made me confess to Profski, and then she took Rover away. She sometimes brings him back for CoMC lessons though.

Saul Is two years below me in Pecari. I heard he's Cackling Dude's cousin. He's already got a reputation as an entertainer, and despite his bad encounter with a bludger last year, was the last Chaser standing on our team in the Championship game this year. And proved singlehandedly that Pecari Chasers are superiour to Teppenpaw Chasers. Was it really too much to ask for, that one of them give me something to do on the field by having an attempt at a goal?


Seeker Position in the game of Quidditch. Seekers seek to catch the Snitch, a tiny little golden ball with wings. If they catch it they get 150 points for their team, which usually (but not always) wins them the match.


Silk Mia's Cat. Hasn't interferred with anything, and doesn't seem as disdainful as Oscar.


Sonora It's the magical school in the middle of the Painted Desert in Arizona! There's some kind of weather Charms that keep everything nice (except in second year) and... I heard there's a ghost town somewhere nearby. Someone said it was called 'Tumbleweed' which is a weird name for a town. I wonder why it got called that.


Sorrel Is my best friend, Ash's twin sister, and the first of the two who I met. She used to act like she wanted to be one of the guys, and really, she was one of the guys but... she's changed a bit this year. First she shows up, not only with short, darker hair and panda eyes, but boobs too. And then, after midterm, she's got a leather jacket, boots that could do a guy - or girl, or anything - some damage if she took against him and - get this - a geriatric boyfriend. That's just sick. Anyhow, she shares Captaincy of our house team with Ash, and while she's had a problem with her in the past might just be getting over being antagonistic to Mia.


Spy Guy Still holed up in his Library with his guard Cat Oscar when he isn't up to things with the statues on the paths, or meeting up with his contact Red Fox.


Stephen Is me! Everyone knows me, and everyone likes me - Pink Girl once even pretended to be me to try to be as cool as I am, but I caught her out. I'm in Pecari and I had a shiny red motorbike back at home where my older brother Alan looked after it for me. I trashed it last summer when I had my accident. Ah well, Alan said he thought I might be better off getting a new (or really, an old, but newly fixed up by him) one soon anyhow, because I'm starting to grow. I've got the awesomest broom at Sonora, and the hottest girl for my girlfriend. Life is pretty sweet.

Tal Is a girl in Teppenpaw whose real name is Tally. She's been my friend since first year, although, I'm telling you, she wasn't half so good looking then. She's definitely easy on the eyes these days. She's really good at Defense Against the Dark Arts. She helped me to learn Expelliarmus, and was with me when I was first looking for the Knife-Wielding Maniac, although she laughed at me. Tal has a sense of humour, and likes to have fun. Still, it's kinda weird when girls you know suddenly become... girls. You know? Unless they're Mia of course, because that's an entirely different matter.


Teppenpaw Was Bulla's old house, but now that he's moved on Professor Deck is the Head of House. I'm not entirely sure what kind of people get into that house, except that they're all friendly (even - and don't tell him I said this - Bulla himself sometimes). Maybe that's it.


TJ Haughty guy in Crotalus who seems to be keeping a low profile these days.


Transfig Marlowe's class, especially now that she's beaten the curse on the position. I have the coolest green desk there (and it's mine, so hands off) and it's where I made my awesome green ink. One of these days I'm going to try to make some more, 'cause it looked cool and I've run out.


Ty Photographs things like me with a Kneazle hat. Ash mentioned that she has a pet squirrel which he said is a "frickin' weird little scuzz ball" and that Ty is obsessed with it. I always reckoned she was ok for a girl though, and Ash says that if the squirrel isn't in the picture that he agrees. In second year she got hurt during the Mudstorm and then in third year she was my sorta girlfriend for a while.

Valentine Keeper for the Crotalus Quidditch team. Actually managed to remember that this year which was good, but also a bit sad, as it was kinda funny, him flying out last year and trying to play Chaser too.

Wagons We travel to and from Sonora by flying Wagons. Cackling Dude looks after then the rest of the time in a shed somewhere in the Labyrinth Gardens.


Wands You can't do spells without these. They look like sticks, but inside they've got things like dragon heartstring or unicorn hair or whatever else the wandmakers think will make the wand work well. They're a bit tempermental too, because any one wand won't necessarily work right for just anyone.


weather The weather went a bit mad second year. First there was a Duststorm, then there was a Mudstorm, then there was a Blizzard and then there was a flood. But they fixed it in the end. Generally it's really good though. Like really good. Freakish for a desert. I had this theory that you could set your watch by it, but I was wrong. It's a bit more random than that, although you can always depend on their being snow the first day of midterm.


Williams The Muggle Studies Professor. I saw her name on a list, but that's it. There'll be more on her when her classes start. I wonder what you study in Muggle Studies...


Wolfie The school Medic. He's got a weird accent - somewhere European, I think - and a pet Jarvey (possibly the most awesome pet ever. I want one). Doesn't seem to like people being in his Infirmary, and at the Quidditch game this year, went absolutely crazy, ordering two of our Chasers off the field. Just because they'd been hit by bludgers... The Coach didn't seem to impressed, and neither did Angry girl. Lizzy was pretty out of it, and I never remembered to ask her what she thought. Oh, and rumour has it that he and the Foxy Coach had this massive spat in the middle of the Labyrinth Gardens. Cackling Dude was there as well. If it was anything like I heard it was, it might be well worth hanging around to see if there'll be a repeat performance.

Zack Every year I figure he'll be taller than the first years and ever year I seem to be wrong. He's one of my friends in Aladren, and plays Seeker on their Quidditch team, which, come to think of it, is pretty well suited, considering his height challengement thing. He's getting a bit loopy though. He writes all his notes in weird languages, has theories about aliens invading and even one about me being an alien of sorts. Crazy. Um... other than that, he's really smart, doesn't seem to like Crups much, has a table reserved for him in the Library because he's in there so much and... oh, like me he named his broom. Back in first year it was one called Bones, but now he's moved onto Enterprise.


Zack's Table Look for a little guy sitting at a table in the Library. Chances are there may also be a bigger guy there too. That table is Zack's table.


Zephyrflame Used to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts. He told the class about the Knife-wielding Maniac and taught us some spells for if we meet him. He disappeared around midterm in second year and now we've got the Dragon instead.


Zoey Chaser on the Aladren Quidditch team. Her twin brother Dillon is on the Teppenpaw team.

When there are references to various school years they are to Stephen's school years. So, first year is Stephen's - and, oddly enough Sonora the site's - first year and so on and so forth.
