Artist's Statement

portraiture is, by far, my favorite photographic genre. it was the motivation behind my earliest art photos, taken in 1995. i especially enjoy candid portraits taken with available light that actually acquaint the viewer with the subject. i find this feat both challenging and endlessly rewarding.
