CHAPTER SIX

The Backstreet Boys and Zenell boarded Zenell’s spacecraft. They were going to go to Zator’s spaceship with or without the alarms down. Hazak had given them directions to get to the room that they were in. The ride to the ship was boring like it was last time, but unlike last time, AJ didn’t fire at any of Howie’s projections. Once they entered the tunnel that led to the docking bay, however…

“They’re firing at us!” Nick shouted.

“No kidding,” AJ said.

“This ship has a force field around it to protect it against fire. There is no way that a laser could penetrate it,” Zenell said.

“Oh, cool,” Nick said. Once they landed at the docking bay, they were greeted with a huge force of robots who were banging on the door to the ship. Everyone inside the ship was terrified. Nick and Zenell were holding on to each other for dear life, Brian, Howie, and Kevin were reciting a prayer, and AJ started cussing and flicking off the robots. Then the droids broke in. Zenell and the Backstreet Boys were captured.

Aaron, *Nsync, and Hazak were getting nervous. What if their rescuers were in trouble? Just then, a robot with guns entered the room.

“COME WITH ME TRAITORS!” it said. Aaron immediately responded by changing into his brother and basically lopping the droid’s head off.

“Cool!” he exclaimed. As if on cue, they heard screams.

“What was that?” Justin asked.

“That sounded like my brother!” Aaron ran out of the room to go after whatever had his brother.

“Aaron, no!” Hazak said. But Aaron didn’t hear him. He was already gone.

Zator stood over the six tied up amulet bearers with a grin on his face.
“Now I can finally destroy your planet!” he said laughing. Zenell and the Backstreet Boys watched helplessly as Zator put their amulets in the consoles and aimed his huge laser tractor beam toward Earth. Zator pushed the activating button.

CHAPTER SEVEN

Nothing happened. Zator was simply puzzled. He hit the button again and again and again. Still, nothing happened. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a black figure crouched down by a console. Zator went over to the figure and was met with a replica of Ninja Man with two swords. On the ground was a severed wire that was supposed to have gone into the wall, but apparently it didn’t. Zator was furious. He went over to a small table and reached for a laser blaster that he was going to use on the Backstreet Boys and his daughter, but this was an emergency. Zator never picked up the gun. Instead, he was shot with a stun gun that was somehow produced from the figure. The attacker stood up. Now, he resembled AJ’s superhero form. No, scratch that. He WAS AJ’s superhero form, and he carried two amulets. One was around his neck, and the other was around his wrist.

Nick was stunned at what had just taken place. Who was this stranger who had saved them? But before he could thank this person, he was freed from his tied up position on the floor. Immediately, the amulet bearers who were once prisoners began pulling their amulets out from the console. The unknown savior gave the amulet from around his wrist to Nick. The rescuer took off the amulet from around his neck to reveal Aaron Carter. Nick’s eyes went wide before he embraced his brother. Footsteps could be heard coming into the room. The amulet possessors braced themselves for a hoard of droids to attack. But the attack never came. Instead, *Nsync and Hazak ran into the room.

“Did we miss something?” Justin asked.

“Yeah,” Howie said, “And I think that after what everyone’s been through that we should go back to the ship now.”

“I think so,” Nick said. Aaron nodded. And for the first time in two weeks, the former prisoners went home.
