Email [May 6, 2000] Email From H STEPS Official News: From H!  Hiya!!! It's ME again!! I'm writing this just before we start our HUUUUUUUUUGE new Steptacular tour while we'rerehearsing in Glasgow. I can't wait to see you all again, especially after last year when we got the best reception ever.But on this tour you're gonna be louder right? Of course you are! I know I'm gonna be :) With us it's just been rehearsals, rehearsals, rehearsals! And rehearsals = VERY tiring! But it's been fun and now we know exactly what we will be doing for you lot. I'm now revitalized and ready to roll and I know the other four are too. And while they're not here let me just tell you not to listen to anything they might try to tell you. I'm the one doing all the hard work around here! Honest! Slackers the lot of 'em! HEHEHE :) You know that Lee and myself are going to be performing the song "Things Can Only Get Better" on the tour. This song is special to me as it was the song I sung at the audition for STEPS, way back at the start of everything. And we've got lots and lots of other surprises for you all, but I'm not going to tell you any of them, although I REALLY want to!!!! Sorry! Surprises are better anyway I think. Right then, that's it for now. See you at one of the concerts, give me a big wave! All Pop [April 17, 2000]  Faye to stay with Steps!  Steps fans should remain calm - the Faye rumours aren't true. Last week, rumours that Steps member Faye Tozer had decided to quit the successful UK pop group were flying everywhere (including all over AllPop). This week, we've learned that Faye has no intention of leaving the group."Contrary to the story in today's newspaper, the truth is that I have recently been writing for and recording 'Steps' third album, which is going brilliantly," Faye told Dotmusic "I'm also really excited about the forthcoming arena tour which kicks off in Glasgow on May 5th, and myself and the rest of Steps will be announcing more tour dates soon. All in all, things could not be better for                      Steps right now. I have no intention of going anywhere."

 
 

The Brit List [April 15, 2000]  The Brit List rocked Canada last night [Saturday] with the explosion of Deeper Shade of Blue. It was the first time I had ever seen the full video. The lucky Steps fans who saw it, were as shocked as I was. It was way different than I expect and very racy. The make-up and costumes were excellent. If this video is released in North America, I except and big things for Steps. Even in USA where they haven't even broken through yet. Canada loves Steps and Deeper Shade of Blue will hit number 1 on the Hit List. Canada can watch the Brit List @ 8:00 pm [pacific] on Easter Weekend for Part 2 where we will be expecting Say You'll Be Mine to air. Keep watching Canada.

 

Is Faye leaving the Steps? [April 10, 2000]  Rumours are flying in Steps Land. Rumour has it that Faye might be leaving Steps. Althought this rumour is still just a rumour, we must not believe in everything we hear. So far I have heard numerous times. We can only hope Steps stay as one. In other news, Steps third album should be out in the UK in the fall. I can't wait. It won't probably hit Canada until next summer. And maybe never in the USA. If there is a break up Canada will never see it.

 

Listen up Canada [April 1, 2000]  The Brit List will be airing on YTV on April 14/15 and Easter Weekend. They will be playing many British videos but Steps videos too. They will be playing 'Say You'll Be Mine' and I'm working on getting them to play the European Version of Tragedy. Part One of the Brit List will air April 14 at 8:00 pm [pacific] and 1:00pm [pacific] on Saturday. The same time will follow for next weekend.

 

Rumour from Z95.3 FM [March 31, 2000]  5,6,7,8 It has been rumoured that in Canada the next Steps single will be '5,6,7,8'. I think that this rumour is only a rumour. '5,6,7,8' is of Step One and with Steptacular released, it should be 'After The Love is Gone'. 'After The Love is Gone' was all ready released in the United Kingdom and didn't do as well as expected. I think it will do very poorly. 'Tragedy' has been played on the Hit List and is doing very well.

 

Allpop.com [March 27, 2000]  Tripping On A recent scare had Steps in a bit of a worry. Steps member Claire, was in a bar when she suddenly trip over a bar stool. She was rushed to the hospital and the doctors claimed there was no damaged to her back. Accidents like this, are very scary. Fellows Step members were very worry because being part of a pop group consists of dance routines and singing. With damage done to any part of their bodies, dance would become very difficult and painful. As a result of this mishap, the single 'Deeper Shade of Blue' will be delayed of promotion which was expected to be released April 3 in the U.K. Claire's accident was a Tragedy.
